Narrate how you informed me about the meat of the game presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he was in the state of Ihram. Thereupon he said: He was presented with a slice of the meat of game, but he returned it to him (who presented it) saying: We are not going to eat it, as we are in the state of Ihram.

عَنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ قَالَ قَالَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوٌ مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّا لاَ نَأْكُلُهُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ

Ibn ‘Abbas said Zaid bin ‘Arqam do you know that the limb of a game was presented to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ but he did not accept it. He said “We are wearing ihram”. He replied, Yes.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ إِلَيْهِ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"Do you not know that the Prophet was given a piece of game meant when he was in Ihram and he did not accept it?" He said: "Yes."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"Zaid bin Arqam came and Ibn Abbas said to him, reminding him: "What did you tell me about the game meat that was given to the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram?" He said: "Yes, a man gave him a piece of game meat but he returned it and said: 'We cannot eat it, we are in Ihram.'"

عَنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَهْدَى لَهُ رَجُلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّا لاَ نَأْكُلُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ

"Zaid bin Arqam came and Ibn Abbas said to him, reminding him: "What did you tell me about the game meat that was given to the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram?" عَنْ لَحْمٍ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَهْدَى لَهُ رَجُلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُهُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was gifted a hunted animal, but it was unlawful, so he did not accept it. He was asked, "Did you return it?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, we are forbidden (from consuming unlawful things)." He was asked, "Did you say so?" And he replied, "Yes."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ فَرَدَّهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"Do you not know that the Prophet was given a piece of game meant when he was in Ihram and he did not accept it?" He said: "Yes." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2821)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ ؟ قَالَ بَلَى

[AI] The son of Bakr presented something forbidden to the Prophet ﷺ, and Abdur-Razzaq said that something was presented to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Yes, something was presented to him, a body part." Ibn Bakr said, "A man presented a body part of hunted meat to him, but he rejected it and said, 'We do not eat it. We consider it forbidden.'"

ابْنُ بَكْرٍ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَرَامًا وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوٌ قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ أَهْدَى رِجْلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُهُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given a hunting tool and it was prohibited, so he returned it? He said yes. Haggag said he did not accept it and said, "We are prohibited." He said yes.
