Ibn ‘Abbas said Zaid bin ‘Arqam do you know that the limb of a game was presented to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ but he did not accept it. He said “We are wearing ihram”. He replied, Yes.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ إِلَيْهِ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was gifted a hunted animal, but it was unlawful, so he did not accept it. He was asked, "Did you return it?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, we are forbidden (from consuming unlawful things)." He was asked, "Did you say so?" And he replied, "Yes."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ فَرَدَّهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"Do you not know that the Prophet was given a piece of game meant when he was in Ihram and he did not accept it?" He said: "Yes." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2821)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ ؟ قَالَ بَلَى

[Machine] I said to Zaid ibn Arqam, "Did you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was gifted a piece of game meat while he was in the state of Ihram, and he returned it?" He said, "Yes."

قُلْتُ لِزَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ»

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given a hunting tool and it was prohibited, so he returned it? He said yes. Haggag said he did not accept it and said, "We are prohibited." He said yes.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ حَجَّاجُ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ وَقَالَ «إِنَّا حُرُمٌ» قَالَ نَعَمْ
