[Machine] "To the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , O Messenger of Allah, Safiyyah bint Huyay has started her menses." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perhaps she has held us back." In another narration by Abdullah, he said, "Perhaps she has detained us. Did she not perform Tawaf (circumambulation) around the Kaaba with you?" They replied, "Yes, she did." He said, "Then let her go out." In another narration by Abdullah, he said, "Then you should go out."  

البيهقي:٩٧٥٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ مَالِكٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ

لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ قَدْ حَاضَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَلَّهَا تَحْبِسُنَا وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ لَعَلَّهَا حَابِسَتُنَا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ طَافَتْ مَعَكُنَّ بِالْبَيْتِ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ فَاخْرُجْنَ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَاخْرُجِي  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَرَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm from his father from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha umm al- muminin said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ "Messenger of Allah, Safiyya bint Huyy has begun her period," and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perhaps she will delay us. Has she done tawaf of the House with you?" They said, "Of course." He said, "So you are free to leave."  

مالك:٢٠-٢٣٨ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَىٍّ قَدْ حَاضَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَلَّهَا تَحْبِسُنَا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ طَافَتْ مَعَكُنَّ بِالْبَيْتِ قُلْنَ بَلَى قَالَ فَاخْرُجْنَ

"Safiyyah bint Huyai began menstruating." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Perhaps she has detained us. Did she not circumambulate the House with you?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Then you can leave." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 391)

Messenger of Allah, Safiyyah bint Huyayy has entered the state of menses, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Perhaps she is going to detain us. Has she not clicumambulated the House along with you (i. e. whether she has not performed Tawaf Ifada)? They said: Yes. He said: Then they should set out. (Using translation from Muslim 1211ae)
