[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the Dhuhr or Asr prayer, then he made the salaam in the two units of prayer, then he turned and the people quickly left. They said, "The prayer was made light." The one with the two hands said, "Was the prayer made light or did you forget?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "What does the one with the two hands say?" They said, "He speaks the truth." So he prayed the two units of prayer that he had left, then he made two prostrations while he was sitting after he had made the salaam.

أحمد:٧٨٢٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I did not forget nor did I shorten it." So, Zul-Shimalain said, "Some of it was done like that, O Messenger of Allah." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned to the people and said, "Zul-Yadayn (meaning Zul-Shimalain) has spoken the truth." They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and completed the prayer.
