[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ prayed with his companions and greeted them after two units (of prayer). A man known as "Dhul-Yadayn" (possessor of two hands) and he had long hands, said, "O Messenger of Allah, did the prayer become shorter or did you forget?" He ﷺ said, "The prayer did not become shorter and I did not forget." They asked, "What does Dhul-Yadayn say?" They said, "He told the truth." So he ﷺ prayed two units of prayer with them.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٦٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ وَكَانَ طَوِيلَ الْيَدَيْنِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ؟ قَالَ «مَا قَصُرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَمَا نَسِيتُ» قَالَ مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ؟ قَالُوا صَدَقَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr or 'Asr and said the taslim following two rak'ahs and left. Dhul-Shimalain bin 'Amr said to him: 'Has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?" The Prophet ﷺ said: 'What is Dhul-Yadain saying?' They said: 'He is speaking the truth, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' So he led them in praying the two rak'ahs that he missed."  

النسائي:١٢٣٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَانْصَرَفَ فَقَالَ لَهُ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَنُقِصَتِ الصَّلاَةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ فَقَالُوا صَدَقَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ فَأَتَمَّ بِهِمُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ نَقَصَ

ابن ماجة:١٢١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَهَا فَسَلَّمَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ؟ قَالَ مَا قَصُرَتْ وَمَا نَسِيتُ قَالَ إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ أَكَمَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَتَقَدَّمَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَىِ السَّهْوِ
