[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: "Regarding the Zakat al-Fitr, it is obligatory upon every free person, slave, male, female, young, old, poor, or rich. It is a sa' of dates or half a sa' of barley." Ma'mar said: "And it reached me that Al-Zuhri used to narrate it to the Prophet ﷺ ."  

أحمد:٧٧٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَكَانَ مَعْمَرٌ يَقُولُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فِي زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ فَقِيرٍ أَوْ غَنِيٍّ صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ قَمْحٍ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ كَانَ يَرْوِيهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

[Machine] Zakat al-Fitr is mandatory upon every free Muslim, male or female, young or old, poor or rich. The amount is one saa' of dates or half a saa' of wheat. Ma'mar reported to me that Al-Zuhri used to present it to the Prophet ﷺ and he mentioned from 'Ata' that he said, "Whoever takes from the Zakat al-Fitr should deliver it for themselves, and likewise for Al-Hasan." Abu Al-A'la and Al-Sha'bi also said the same.  

البيهقي:٧٦٩٦ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ الزُّوزَنِيُّ أنبأ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَتْ زَكَاةُ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ فَقِيرٍ وَغَنِيٍّ صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ قَمْحٍ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ كَانَ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَيَذْكُرُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُ مِنْ زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ يُؤَدِّي عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وَكَذَلِكَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ وَالشَّعْبِيُّ
