"When any one of you is praying, let him not spit in front of him, for Allah is in front of him when he prays." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 724)  

أحمد:٥٣٣٥قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِكٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى بُصَاقًا فِي جِدَارِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَحَكَّهُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَبْصُقَنَّ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ بُصَاقًا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw sputum on the wall of the mosque in the direction of the Qibla and scraped it off. He faced the people and said, "Whenever any one of you is praying, he should not spit in front of him because in the prayer Allah is in front of him."  

البخاري:٤٠٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

muslim:547aYaḥyá b. Yaḥyá al-Tamīmī > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw spittle on the wall towards Qibla, and scratched it away and then turning to the people said: When any one of you prays, he must not spit in front of him, for Allah is in front of him when he is engaged in prayer.  

مسلم:٥٤٧aحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى بُصَاقًا فِي جِدَارِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَحَكَّهُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَبْصُقَنَّ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷻ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى  

malik:14-5Yaḥyá > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw spittle on the wall of the qibla and scraped it off. Then he went up to the people and said, "Do not spit in front of you when you are praying, because Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, is in front of you when you pray."  

مالك:١٤-٥حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى بُصَاقًا فِي جِدَارِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَحَكَّهُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَبْصُقْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw some spittle in the direction of the mosque's qibla, so he stood up and wiped it away with his hand. Then, he faced the people and became angry at them, saying, "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty, looks at the face of one of you during his prayer, so none of you should spit in the direction of his face during prayer."  

أحمد:٤٥٠٩حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَامَ فَحَكَّهَا أَوْ قَالَ فَحَتَّهَا بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قِبَلَ وَجْهِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw some impurity in the direction of the mosque, so he cleaned it up and then faced the people and said, "If any of you is in prayer, he should not spit towards the direction of his face, for indeed Allah, the Most High, faces the face of one of you when he is in prayer."  

أحمد:٤٨٤١حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى قِبَلَ وَجْهِ أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
