21.1 To take the help of the hands while offering Salat
٢١۔١ باب اسْتِعَانَةِ الْيَدِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الصَّلاَةِ
[Machine] Ibn Abbas said, "A man does not seek assistance in his prayer from his own body as he pleases." Abu Ishaq placed his Qalansuwa (head covering) during the prayer and lifted it. Ali put his left hand on his left knee, except when he would wipe away mud or fix his garment.
وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ مَا يَسْتَعِينُ الرَّجُلُ فِي صَلاَتِهِ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ بِمَا شَاءَ. وَوَضَعَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَلَنْسُوَتَهُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَرَفَعَهَا. وَوَضَعَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ كَفَّهُ عَلَى رُصْغِهِ الأَيْسَرِ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَحُكَّ جِلْدًا أَوْ يُصْلِحَ ثَوْبًا.
