The Prophet ﷺ led us in Zuhr prayer and prayer five rakʿat. Somebody asked him whether the prayer had been increased." He (the Prophet ﷺ ) said, "And what is that?" They (the people) replied, "You have prayed five rakʿat." Then the Prophet ﷺ offered two prostrations (of Sahu) after he had finished his prayer with the Taslim.

صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ said five rak'ahs of the noon prayer and when he completed the prayer, It was said to him: Has there been (commanded) an addition In prayer? He said: What is it? They said: You have said five rak'ahs, so he performed two prostrations.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us five (rak'ahs in prayer). We said: Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been extended? He said: What is the matter? They said: You have said five (rak'ahs). He (the Holy Prophet) said: Verily I am a human being like you. I remember as you remember and I forget just as you forget. He then performed two prostrations as (compensation of) forgetfulness.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَمْسًا فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ أَذْكُرُ كَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ وَأَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَىِ السَّهْوِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed five rak’ahs in the noon prayer. He was asked whether the prayer had been extended. He asked what they meant by that. The people said : you prayed five rak’ahs. Then he made two prostrations after having given the salutation.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ

Messenger of Allah, has (the number of the rak’ahs of) the prayer been increased ? he said : No. they said; you have offered five rak’ahs of prayer. He then turned away and performed two prostrations, and afterwards gave the salutation. He then said : I am only a human being, I forget, as you forget.

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ تَوَشْوَشَ الْقَوْمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُكُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ زِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ لاَ قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَانْفَتَلَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered one of the afternoon prayers with five (rak'ahs), and it was said to him: "Has something been added to the prayer?" He said: 'Why are you asking?' They said: 'You prayed five.' He said: 'I am only human, I forget as you forget, and I remember as you remember.' Then he prostrated twice then ended his prayer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى إِحْدَى صَلاَتَىِ الْعَشِيِّ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ وَأَذْكُرُ كَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْفَتَلَ

[AI] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ prayed Dhuhr or Asr five units (rak'ahs), then prostrated for the two prostrations of forgetfulness. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'These two prostrations are for whoever among you thought that they added or missed something.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ خَمْسًا ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَاتَانِ السَّجْدَتَانِ لِمَنْ ظَنَّ مِنْكُمْ أَنَّهُ زَادَ أَوْ نَقَصَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allahﷺ prayed Dhuhr or Asr, then he performed two prostrations and said, "These two prostrations are for whoever among you thought that they added or missed something."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ خَمْسًا ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ السَّجْدَتَانِ لِمَنْ ظَنَّ مِنْكُمْ أَنَّهُ زَادَ أَوْ نَقَصَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prayed five (units of prayer) with them, then he added an extra unit. Some people started whispering to each other, so they said to him, "O Messenger of Allah! You prayed five (units of prayer) and then added an extra unit." So he performed two prostrations with them and said, "I am only a human being, I forget just as you forget."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِهِمْ خَمْسًا ثُمَّ انْفَتَلَ فَجَعَلَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ يُوَشْوِشُ إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَقَالُوا لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَانْفَتَلَ فَسَجَدَ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ

[AI] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ prayed five prayers, and when he finished, he was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should we increase in prayer?" He said, "No, why would you do that?" They said, "You have prayed five prayers." He said, "I am only a human like you, I remember as you remember and I forget as you forget." Then he performed the two prostrations of forgetfulness.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَمَا ذَاكَ؟» قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ «فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلَكُمْ أَذْكُرُ كَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ وَأَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ» ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Dhuhr or Asr with us for five Rakahs, so we said, "O Messenger of Allah, did we add in the prayer?" He replied, "No, what is that?" They said, "You prayed five Rakahs." So he faced the Qiblah and performed two prostrations, then he said, "These two prostrations are for the one who thinks that he has added or missed anything."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , performed one of my nightly prayers. When he finished, they said, "Did you pray five?" He said, "I am only a human being like you. I remember as you remember and forget as you forget." Then he turned and performed the two prostrations of forgetfulness.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِحْدَى صَلَاتِي الْعِشَاءِ فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا؟ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ أَذْكُرُ كَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ وَأَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ

"صَلَّى النَّبِىُّ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ خَمْسًا ثُم سَجدَ سَجْدَتَىِ السَّهْو، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : هَاتَان السَّجْدَتَان، لِمَنْ ظَن أَنَّهُ زَادَ مِنْكُمْ أَوْ نَقْصَ".
