I and Ibn ʿUmar were considered too young (to take part) in the battle of Badr, and the number of the Emigrant warriors were over sixty (men) and the Ansar were over 249. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3956)  

الطبراني:١١٦٥حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

«اسْتُصْغِرْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ عُمَرَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ belittled me and Ibn Umar, so we repeated it on the day of Badr.
