[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , "Indeed, righteous etiquette and good character are a part of the seventy parts of prophethood."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Righteous conduct, good manners, and moderation are a part of the forty-five parts of prophethood."
[Machine] He said, "We asked Ibn Abbas about the saying of Allah ﷻ: 'Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his body.' He said, 'The Prophet ﷺ once prayed and a thought crossed his mind.' Then the hypocrites who prayed with him said, 'Do you not see that he has two hearts? One heart with you and another heart with them.' So Allah ﷻ revealed, 'Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his body.'"
قَالَ قُلْنَا لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَرَأَيْتَ قَوْلَ اللهِ ﷻ {مَا جَعَلَ اللهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قَلْبَيْنِ فِي جَوْفِهِ} فَقَالَ «قَامَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا يُصَلِّي فَخَطَرَ خَطْرَةً» فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونُ الَّذِينَ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَهُ أَلَا تَرَوْنَ أَنَّ لَهُ قَلْبَيْنِ قَلْبًا مَعَكُمْ وَقَلْبًا مَعَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {مَا جَعَلَ اللهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قَلْبَيْنِ فِي جَوْفِهِ}
[Machine] Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encountered two men who had the same request. He greeted one of them and noticed some differences in his appearance. The Prophet asked him, "Have you had food?" The man replied, "I have not had any food for three days." So, the Prophet instructed someone to bring him food and fulfill his request.
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who steals, robs, or indicates towards theft."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ uncovering the thighs of Husain and kissing his navel.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If the questioner knew what he has in it, he wouldn't ask."
[Machine] "That the Quran caused mountains to move, or the earth to split, or the dead to speak." They said to the Prophet, "If it is as you say, then show us our elders from the dead and open for us these mountains of Makkah that have enclosed us." So, the verse was revealed: "And if the Quran were to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to split, or the dead to speak..."
أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى} قَالَ قَالُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَ كَمَا تَقُولُ فَأَرِنَا أَشْيَاخَنَا الْأُوَلَ مِنَ الْمَوْتَى نُكَلِّمْهُمْ وَافْتَحْ لَنَا هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ جِبَالَ مَكَّةَ الَّتِي قَدْ ضَمَّتْنَا فَنَزَلَتْ {وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى}
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ stayed in Mecca for ten years, then descended [to the verse]: "{Say: 'My Lord, admit me with an entrance of truth and exit me with an exit of truth.'}" Then, he migrated to Medina.
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "A person who does not have anything from the Quran in his heart is like a house in ruins."
[Machine] "The Messenger ﷺ said, 'There is no one among you except that he has been assigned a companion from the jinn.' They asked, 'Even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become a Muslim.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached hastily while we were sitting, which startled us with his speed. When he reached us, he greeted us and then said, "I came to you quickly to inform you about the Night of Decree, but I forgot it between me and you. So, seek it in the last ten nights."
[Machine] he following is the translation of the passage into English:
An Arab man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "How can I know that you are the Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I call this date palm tree and it bears witness that I am the Messenger of Allah, would you believe?" The man said, "Yes." Then, the Prophet ﷺ called the date palm tree and it descended from the tree until it fell on the ground. The man was astonished and continued to follow the Prophet ﷺ until they reached a certain place. Then, the Prophet ﷺ told him to go back, and the man returned to his place and said, "I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah and I believe."
[Machine] "He ﷺ used to soak raisins for the Messenger of Allah at night, and he would drink them the next morning, as well as the following night and the next morning and night. This continued until he drank it and was given to drink it, or he ordered it to be poured."
[Machine] The translation of the passage is as follows "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to soak raisins for him, which he would drink today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow until the evening of his night, then he would order it to be given to him to drink or to pour on him."
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ would have sheep slaughtered for him, and he would drink from its broth on the day it was slaughtered and on the following day. But on the third day, he would order it to be poured out."
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ used to soak raisins in a container of water, and he would drink from it in the evening, the next day, and the day after. If any water remained, he would either pour it out or drink it.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be given yogurt, which he would consume throughout the day and night, and also the next day and night. But when the third day came, he would command that it should be poured out or given to the servants.
[Machine] "He used to be cast aside for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a vessel, which he would drink from in the morning and at night, and in the morning and at night. When the third day came, an ewer would be brought or his servants would serve him."
[Machine] He would soak it (the dates) for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah would drink it during the day, and also the next day, and on the third day. Then, in the evening, he (the servant) would pour it out or give it to the servants, but it is forbidden to give it to the servants without pouring it out (first).
[Machine] "He was rejected by the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , so he would drink it from the morning and after the morning. Then when the evening of the third day came, he would pour it out or command it to be poured out."
[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade hunting wild animals with dogs, and he also forbade the confinement of animals for the purpose of target practice."
[Machine] "Intoxicating beverages, in small or large amounts, and all types of alcohol are forbidden."
[Machine] I traveled with Ibn Abbas from Madinah to Sham and I asked him, "What was the advice that the Prophet ﷺ left behind?" He said, "When the Prophet ﷺ was sick with the illness that he eventually passed away in, he was in the house of Aisha and he said, 'Call Ali.' Aisha said, 'Shouldn't we call Abu Bakr, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Call him.' Then Hafsa said, 'Shouldn't we call Umar?' He said, 'Call him.' Then Umm al-Fadl said, 'Shouldn't we call Abbas, your uncle?' He said, 'Call him.' When they all came, he raised his head and did not see Ali. He remained silent and did not speak. Umar said, 'Everyone should leave the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. If he had any need for us, he would have mentioned it until then, three times.' Then he said, 'Let Abu Bakr lead the people in prayer.' Aisha said, 'Abu Bakr is present.' So Abu Bakr came forward to lead the people in prayer. The Prophet ﷺ saw him slightly weak and went to be supported between two men. When the people noticed, they began to glorify Allah, so Abu Bakr went back to delay the prayer. The Prophet ﷺ gestured to him indicating to stay in his place. The Prophet ﷺ began the prayer from where Abu Bakr had stopped reciting. Abu Bakr was still standing while the Prophet ﷺ was sitting. Then Abu Bakr brought the Prophet ﷺ forward and the people also brought Abu Bakr forward. The Prophet ﷺ did not complete the prayer until he became very heavy. He then went to be supported between two men and indeed his two feet were dragging on the ground. The Prophet ﷺ passed away and did not leave any final will.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has the means to perform Hajj to the House of Allah (Kaaba), but does not do so, and whoever possesses wealth that is eligible for zakat but does not pay it, will ask for return in the afterlife when they are about to die." A man said to him, "Fear Allah, O Abu Abbas, for only the disbeliever asks for return." He said, "I recite to you a verse from the Quran: 'O you who believe, spend from what We have provided for you before the arrival of death upon one of you, and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term."' "
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever possesses the means to perform Hajj but does not do so, or possesses wealth that is obligatory to give zakat on but does not give it, will ask for the return (of these opportunities) when approaching death." A man said to him, "Fear Allah, O Abu Abbas, for only the disbeliever asks for the return (of past opportunities)." He (the Prophet) said, "Let me recite a verse to you: 'O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the disbelievers - they are the wrongdoers'" (Quran 2:254).
[Machine] Ibn 'Abbas narrated that on the day of Khaybar, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered it, Muslim men had acquired women from the People of the Book who became their wives. So, when a man wanted to approach a woman from them, she would say, "I have a husband." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about this, and Allah ﷻ revealed this verse: {And [also prohibited to you are all] married women}, meaning the captives from the disbelievers. So, I mentioned this to Sa'id ibn Jubayr, and he said, "You spoke the truth."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Goodness quickly reaches the house in which food is served, more than a knife in the hump of a camel."
[Machine] My father informed me on the authority of his book that Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Wasiti narrated to me from Umar Abu Yahya from Juwaybir from ad-Dahhak from Ibn Abbas who said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing every living creature with a spirit, unless it causes harm."
[Machine] Ibn Abbas said, regarding the saying of Allah, "And [remember] when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a statement" (Quran 66:3), Hafsah entered upon the Prophet ﷺ in her house while he was with Maria. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Hafsah, "Do not inform Aisha until I give you good news, for your father will succeed me after Abu Bakr when I die." So Hafsah went and informed Aisha that she had seen the Prophet ﷺ with Maria, and informed her that the Prophet ﷺ had informed her that her father, Abu Bakr, will succeed him and then Umar will succeed after him. Aisha said to the Prophet ﷺ , "Who informed you of this?" He replied, "The All-Knower, the Well-Acquainted [with all things] informed me." So Aisha said, "I will not look at you until you prohibit Maria." He then prohibited Maria, and Allah revealed, "O Prophet, why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you" (Quran 66:1) without any revelation.

And the seekers near to Me have not drawn close to Me with the same level of wara (piety/avoidance of the forbidden) as you have from what has been forbidden for them. And those who worship have not worshipped Me with the same level of weeping out of fear of Me.' Musa said, 'O Lord of all creation, and Ruler on the Day of Judgment, and the Possessor of Magnificence and Generosity, what have You prepared for them, and how have You recompensed them?' Allah said, 'As for the ascetics in the world, indeed I have made My Paradise permissible for them, and they will take from it wherever they wish. And as for those who have wara from what I have forbidden for them, on the Day of Resurrection, there will not remain any servant except that I will argue with him of his account, and I will not argue with nor hold accountable those who have wara. Indeed, I am shy of them, I honor them, and I bring them into Paradise without any questioning. And as for those who weep out of fear of Me, they will have the loftiest and highest status that none will share with them."
