[Machine] "That the Quran caused mountains to move, or the earth to split, or the dead to speak." They said to the Prophet, "If it is as you say, then show us our elders from the dead and open for us these mountains of Makkah that have enclosed us." So, the verse was revealed: "And if the Quran were to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to split, or the dead to speak..."  

أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى} قَالَ قَالُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَ كَمَا تَقُولُ فَأَرِنَا أَشْيَاخَ‍نَا الْأُوَلَ مِنَ الْمَوْتَى نُكَلِّمْهُمْ وَافْتَحْ لَنَا هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ جِبَالَ مَكَّةَ الَّتِي قَدْ ضَمَّتْنَا فَنَزَلَتْ {وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى}
