[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling date-palm trees until they are eaten from and until they bear fruit." I asked, "What does it mean 'until they bear fruit'?" A man from the people said, "Until they are pruned or protected."
[Machine] Sa'd ibn Jathama gave the Prophet ﷺ a wild donkey foal as a gift. The Prophet returned it and said, "We are forbidden from accepting it."
[Machine] I witnessed Ibn Abbas saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up during the night two or three times."
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , would send out a military expedition, they would distribute one-fifth of the booty. He would take a fifth of that fifth and recite the verse, "And know that whatever you obtain of war booty - indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it" until the phrase "to Allah." He would make the share of Allah and the share of the Messenger one. He would make these two shares a force in horses and weapons. He would not give anyone other than orphans, the poor, and travelers anything from these two shares. He would allocate two portions of the remaining four portions for the horse, one portion for its rider, and one portion for the foot soldier.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is a safety for my nation from drowning when they board ships to say, 'Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).' " {And they have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.} {In the name of Allah its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.}
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَمَانٌ لِأُمَّتِي مِنَ الْغَرَقِ إِذَا رَكِبُوا السُّفُنَ أَنْ يَقُولُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ الْمَلِكِ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ} {بِسْمِ اللهِ مُجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The nobles of my nation are the bearers of the Quran."
[Machine] I asked Ibn Abbas, "What do you think about seclusion?" He said, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke about it, then it is as he said. If not, then I say, 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as you will.'" Whoever wants can isolate himself, and whoever wants can leave.
[Machine] "Two units, two units, the sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah hesitated on a verse during the Fajr prayer. When he completed the prayer, he faced the people and asked, "Did you witness the prayer with Ubayy ibn Ka'b?" They said, "No." He said, "Then he has gone missing to me so that he may open it to me."
[Machine] "The Aws and Khazraj tribes were at odds with each other during the time of ignorance. One day, while they were sitting together, they started mentioning the past disputes between them, which made them angry. Some of them even picked up weapons and got ready to fight. Then the following verse was revealed: 'And how is it that you disbelieve, while the verses of Allah are recited to you and among you is His Messenger?' The entire verse and the two verses that came after it, including 'And remember the favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together'."
«كَانَتِ الْأَوْسُ وَالْخَزْرَجُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ بَيْنَهُمْ شَرٌّ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَوْمًا جُلُوسٌ ذَكَرُوا مَا بَيْنَهُمْ حَتَّى غَضِبُوا فَقَامَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ بِالسِّلَاحِ» فَنَزَلَتْ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ} الْآيَةُ كُلُّهَا وَالْآيَتَانِ بَعْدَهَا إِلَى {وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ}
[Machine] Narrated by Ibn Abbas: "The tribe of Aws used to talk about the matters of ignorance and would become angry to the point of war among themselves. So they took up arms and some of them confronted others." Then the verse was revealed: "And how can you disbelieve while the verses of Allah are recited to you and among you is His Messenger? But whoever holds firmly to Allah has [indeed] been guided to a straight path." (Quran 3:101)
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ} قَالَ «كَانَ الْأَوْسُ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ إِذْ ذَكَرُوا أَمْرَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَغَضِبُوا حَتَّى كَانَ بَيْنَهُمْ حَرْبٌ فَأَخَذُوا السِّلَاحَ وَمَشَى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ» فَنَزَلَتْ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا}
[Machine] Ibn Abbas was asked, "How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ test women?" He replied, "When a woman came to him to give her oath of allegiance, he would ask her if she left her house out of dislike for her husband or to acquire money, and she should swear by Allah that she did not leave her house for any worldly gain. She should also swear by Allah that she did not leave her house out of desire to travel from one place to another. She should swear by Allah that she only left her house out of love for Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed three Umrahs in the month of Dhu al-Qadah."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'How can I feel secure while the companion of the Horn has taken the horn in his mouth?' We, the messenger of Allah ﷺ , pointed to his forehead, saying, 'He is waiting for the command to blow.' They asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what should we say?' He replied, 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, 'So when the Horn is blown'."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَيْفَ أَنْعَمُ وَقَدِ الْتَقَمَ صَاحِبُ الْقَرْنِ الْقَرْنَ؟» وَحَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَبْهَتَهُ «يَنْتَظِرُ مَتَى يُؤْمَرُ فَيَنْفُخُ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَكَيْفَ نَقُولُ؟ قَالَ {حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ} ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ {فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ}
[Machine] "In his saying, 'When the trumpet is blown', he (the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) said, 'How can I feel comfortable while the companion of the horn has already taken the horn?' And he pointed to his forehead saying, 'Does he listen to when he is commanded?' So his companions asked, 'Then what should we say?' He said, 'Say: Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.'"
[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade acquiring slave women as a means of income." I asked Ibn Abbas, "Why did he forbid it?" He said, "Out of fear that they may become incapable, and then you would be left with incapability."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform four Rak'ahs before Jumu'ah and four Rak'ahs after it, without any interruption between them."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said about the outcome of the battle of Badr: "Indeed, Allah has promised me victory in Badr and that I will capture their army and whoever kills a fighter will have a share of their spoils, if Allah wills. And whoever captures a prisoner will also have a share of their spoils, if Allah wills." When they met, Allah cast terror into the hearts of the polytheists. When they fought, Allah defeated them. The people quickly followed them and killed seventy of them and captured seventy.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever fasts forever, their fasting is not valid."
“A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you from people who have no place to graze their flocks and even their male camels have become weak. He mounted the pulpit and praised Allah, then he said: ‘O Allah, send upon us all abundant, wholesome rain, productive and plentiful, sooner rather than later.’ Then the rain came down, and no one came to him from any direction but they said: ‘We have been revived.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1270)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Makkah is the sanctuary of Allah. Its sacredness should not be violated, its trees should not be cut, and its animals should not be hunted." Al-Abbas said, "O Messenger of Allah, except for Al-Izhar, as it is a plant that we use for ropes and the roofs of our houses." He ﷺ said, "Except for Al-Izhar."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me a gift, and said, "Go and present it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, O my son. If you have something better than it with you, send it to us." So, I went with it to him, and he said, "O my cousin, give it to the camels of Sadaqah (charity)." Then, I went to him in the Masjid and prayed Isha' with him. He said, "Do you want to spend the night with your aunt? You have already spent the evening." So, I spent that night according to the order of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I entered upon her, and she let me sleep, while she spread a cloak made of four (pieces). So, I said, "Let me see what the Prophet ﷺ is doing tonight." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and said, "O Maimuna!" She said, "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Did the son of your sister come to you?" She said, "Yes, he is here." He said, "Did you give him something to sleep on?" She said, "Yes." He said, "Did you spread the cloak for him?" She said, "Yes." He went to his bed, and did not lie down on it, but slept around it, and put his head on the cloak. He stayed there for one hour, and I heard him blowing in his sleep. So, I said, "He has slept, and is not awake, nor standing tonight." Then, he got up from there to where I thought that one third of the night had passed, and performed Wudu' as small toothstick was brought to him, and he brushed his teeth, until I heard the squeaking of the pick under the stick. And he recited this Ayah: "Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth..." (Surah Al Imran)

O Allah, forgive them, forgive them."

[Machine] A person was killed during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and the identity of the killer is unknown. The Prophet ﷺ ascended the pulpit and said, "O people! Would a person be killed while I am amongst you and the killer remains unknown? If the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth were to unite in killing a Muslim, Allah would inflict upon them punishment without limit or accountability."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent an army and its flag was returned, so he sent another and its flag was returned with the head of a golden deer. And then the verse was revealed (And it is not for any prophet to embezzle).
بَعَثَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ «جَيْشًا فَرُدَّتْ رَايَتُهُ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ فَرُدَّتْ بِغُلُولِ رَأْسِ غَزَالٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ» فَنَزَلَتْ {وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَغُلَّ}

[Machine] We went out as pilgrims, and when we reached a valley of date palms, we saw the crescent moon. Some people said it was the third day of the month, while others said it was the second day. We went to Ibn Abbas and told him that we had seen the crescent moon. Some people said it was the third day, while others said it was the second day. Ibn Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ extended it for us to see it, so it is the night you have seen it."

[Machine] I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the Dhuhr and Asr prayers or not, but we used to recite.

This is a farewell from me and from you. I have been informed that the Angel of Death has never visited a household before or after yours."
