19. Chapter of ʿAyn (Male) (3/147)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The doors of the heavens are opened in the middle of the night, and a caller calls out, 'Is there anyone who is invoking (Allah), so that I may respond to their invocation? Is there anyone who is seeking something, so that I may grant it to them? Is there anyone who is in distress, so that I may relieve them?' There is no Muslim who supplicates with a supplication, except that Allah responds to it, except for a woman who commits adultery while seeking to keep her adultery hidden, or a person who has severed family ties."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to the Muslims, "There are three Egypt's: one at the meeting point of the two seas, one in the Nile Delta, and one in Sham (Syria). The Muslims will be terrified by three terrifying events: the emergence of the Dajjal (Antichrist) in the East, which will be defeated by the first Egypt (meeting point of the two seas) with an army of seventy thousand, accompanied by a group of Jews and women. The people of Egypt will be divided into three groups: one group will stay in Egypt and say, 'We will defend ourselves,' one group will join the Bedouins, and one group will join the second Egypt (in the Nile Delta). Then the Dajjal will proceed to Sham, while its people take refuge in the mountain pass of Afiq. They will send a detachment to confront him, but they will be defeated. They will face severe famine and hardships, to the extent that one of them will burn his bow and eat it. While they are in that state, a caller from the sky will announce, 'O people, here comes your help!' They will say, 'This is the voice of a well-fed person.' Then Jesus the son of Mary ﷺ will descend while leading the Fajr prayer, and the people will say to him, 'O Spirit of Allah, come forward and lead us in prayer.' He will reply, 'You are all leaders of Muhammad's nation, some of you leading others. So, you should come forward and lead the prayer.' The leader will then perform the prayer, and Jesus will take his weaponry and head towards the Dajjal. When the Dajjal sees Jesus, he will dissolve like salt in water, and Jesus will place his spear in the ground between the two horns of the Dajjal and kill him. The companions of the Dajjal will be defeated, and there will not be a single one among them without being killed. Even the trees and rocks will say, 'O believer, there is a disbeliever behind me, so kill him!'"

[Machine] That Uthman ibn Abi al-As and a group from Thaqeef came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they entered upon him, and said to him, "Protect our goods or our camels for us." He said, "You should wait for me when you leave until I come out from the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said, "So I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him for a copy of the Quran that he had with him, so he gave it to me and appointed me as their leader, even though I was the youngest among them."
[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "The Islam of Amr ibn al-As, Khalid ibn al-Walid, and Uthman ibn Talha was with the Najashi. They arrived in Medina in Safar, in the eighth year of the Hijra."

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever pushes through the people on the day of Friday after the Imam has come out or separates two people, he will be like someone who has placed his neighbor's stick in the fire."

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Indeed, Allah descends to the lowest heaven every night and says: 'Is there anyone who is supplicating, so that I may answer his supplication? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?'"
[Machine] "O father of Haroun, what brings you here?" He said, "I was sent by this lunatic man." He said, "Shall I not tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , who said: Prophet Dawud, ﷺ , used to say to his family at a certain hour of the night, 'O family of Dawud, wake up and pray, for this is an hour in which supplication is answered except for a magician or an adulterer.' So he rode a ship in his place and then returned to Ziyad and asked him for his forgiveness."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "Indeed, in the night there is an hour in which the doors of the heavens are opened, and it is said, 'Is there anyone who asks, so they may be given? Is there anyone who seeks forgiveness, so they may be forgiven? Is there anyone who supplicates, so they may be answered?'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that during the night, there is an hour in which the heavens' doors are opened and he says, "Is there anyone who asks so I can give to him? Is there anyone who calls so I can respond to him? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness so I can forgive him?"
[Machine] "It was part of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entrusted to me that I do not take any payment for making the call to prayer."
[Machine] The last thing that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me was to pray with your companions a prayer that is the weakest of them, for in them there is the elderly, the weak, and the needy.
[Machine] The last thing the Prophet ﷺ said to me was, "Pray with your companions the prayer that is the most difficult for them, for among them are the elderly and the weak, and those in need, and appoint a Mu'adhin who does not take a wage for the call to prayer."
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Thaqif, he said to me, "Extend the prayer, O Uthman, and accommodate people according to their weaknesses, for among them are the weak, the needy, the pregnant, and the breastfeeding. I can hear the crying of an infant, so I shorten the prayer."
[Machine] The last thing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me was, "When you pray with your companions, pray with them a prayer that is stronger than theirs, for among them there may be the weak and the sick."
[Machine] "We did not practice circumcision during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and it was not called for."
[Machine] "This is something we did not see during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, and he refused to eat it."
[Machine] The passage translates to: "A period of forty days is allotted for women."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ it is narrated that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, said: "Whoever does a good deed will have the reward of ten times its like, except fasting, for it is for Me and I will reward it accordingly."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Fasting is a shield by which the servant protects himself from the Fire."

[Machine] To give him money to trade with, and the profit between them. So he gave him twenty thousand dirhams and he bought wine with it. Then the fool came forward with it, and Uthman went out to him. He did not spare anything from it, except that he broke it. Uthman said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah cursed wine, its drinker, its buyer, its seller, its squeezer, and the one for whom it is squeezed."
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty and the punishment of the grave, and the trials of life and death.'"
[Machine] "He used to prefer fasting while traveling and would say that it was a dispensation."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Uthman ibn Talhah on the day of victory, "Bring me the key to the Kaaba." He hesitated, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood waiting for him, even to the point where sweat was dripping from his forehead, and he said, "What is holding him up?" A man rushed towards him, and the woman who had the key with her thought he said, "Umm Uthman says if he takes it from you, he will never give it back to you." Uthman continued to hold the key until the woman gave it to him, and he took it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He opened the door, entered the house, then came out with the people. He sat near the water basin and Ali ibn Abi Talib said, "O Messenger of Allah, if we were given prophethood and the water basin and the curtain, what people would have a greater share than us?" The Prophet ﷺ seemed to dislike what he said, then he called Uthman ibn Talhah and gave him the key, saying, "Take it away." Abdul Razzaq said, "I narrated this to Ibn Uyaynah and he told me that Ibn Jurayj had informed him that Ibn Abi Mulaykah reported that the Prophet ﷺ said to Ali on that day when he spoke to him about the key, 'I have only given you what you desire, and I have not given you what you do not desire.' He means that he gave them the water basin because they showed interest in it, but he did not give them the house, as people would take from his gifts." This is the statement of Abdul Razzaq.
[Machine] I asked Uthman, "Why didn't the Prophet ﷺ send a message to you after he left the Kaaba?" He replied, "He told me, 'I saw the horns of the ram and forgot to instruct you to cover them, as it is not appropriate for something to distract someone who is praying in the house.'"

Umar said, "I don't know anyone more deserving of that than him. I will tell you about Abdullah. One night, we stayed in a house near Abu Bakr, during a need of the Prophet ﷺ.
