[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Abd al-Aziz ibn Muhammad reported from Shurayk ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Namir, who reported from Awn ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah, who reported from his father that Ibn Masud was making a supplication in the mosque when the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr passed by. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached him, he heard his supplication but did not recognize it. So he said, "Who is this? Ask him what he wants, and I will grant it to him." Abu Bakr then returned to Abdullah and said, "What supplication were you making?" Abdullah replied, "I praised Allah and glorified Him, then I said: O Allah, there is no god but You. Your promise is true, and meeting You is true. Your Book is true, and the prophets are true. Muhammad ﷺ is true, Paradise is true, Hellfire is true, and Your messengers are true."
