"رُبَّ أَشْعثَ أَغْبر ذِى طِمْريْن مِن أُمَّتى يطُوفُ علَى الأَبْوابِ تَرُدُّهُ اللُّقْمةُ واللُّقْمتَانِ لَوْ أَقْسم علَى اللَّهِ لأَبرَّةُ".

السيوطي:١٦٩٥١a –

"كَمْ مِنْ أَشعثَ أَغْبَرَ ذِي طِمْرَين لَا يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ، لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى الله لأَبَرَّهُ مِنْهُم البَرَاءُ بن مَالِك" (*).  

[ت] الترمذي حسن غريب، [ض] ضياء المقدسي في مختاره عن أنس، ورواه [ك] الحاكم في المستدرك [حل] أبى نعيم في الحلية بلفظ: "كَمْ مِنْ ضَعيف مُتَضَعِّف ذِي طِمْرَين إِلى آخِره"
