On the days of Mina, (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) Abu Bakr came to her while two young girls were beating the tambourine and the Prophet ﷺ was lying covered with his clothes. Abu Bakr scolded them and the Prophet ﷺ uncovered his face and said to Abu Bakr, "Leave them, for these days are the days of ʿId and the days of Mina." ʿAisha further said, "Once the Prophet ﷺ was screening me and I was watching the display of black slaves in the Mosque and (ʿUmar) scolded them. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Leave them. O Bani Arfida! (carry on), you are safe (protected)'."

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ فِي أَيَّامِ مِنًى تُدَفِّفَانِ وَتَضْرِبَانِ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُتَغَشٍّ بِثَوْبِهِ فَانْتَهَرَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَكَشَفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ دَعْهُمَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ عِيدٍ وَتِلْكَ الأَيَّامُ أَيَّامُ مِنًى وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَسْتُرُنِي وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَزَجَرَهُمْ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دَعْهُمْ أَمْنًا بَنِي أَرْفِدَةَ يَعْنِي مِنَ الأَمْنِ

That during the Mina days, Abu Bakr came to her, while there where two girls with her, beating drums, and the Prophet ﷺ was (lying) covering himself with his garment. Abu Bakr rebuked the two girls, but the Prophet ﷺ uncovered his face and said, "O Abu Bakr! Leave them, for these are the days of Id (festival)." Those days were the days of Mina-. ʿAisha added, "I was being screened by the Prophet ﷺ while I was watching the Ethiopians playing in the Mosque. ʿUmar rebuked them, but the Prophet ﷺ said, "Leave them, O Bani Arfida! Play. (for) you are safe."

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ فِي أَيَّامِ مِنًى تُدَفِّفَانِ وَتَضْرِبَانِ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُتَغَشٍّ بِثَوْبِهِ فَانْتَهَرَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَكَشَفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ دَعْهُمَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ عِيدٍ وَتِلْكَ الأَيَّامُ أَيَّامُ مِنًى وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَسْتُرُنِي وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَزَجَرَهُمْ {عُمَرُ} فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دَعْهُمْ أَمْنًا بَنِي أَرْفَدَةَ يَعْنِي مِنَ الأَمْنِ

Abu Bakr, leave them alone for these are the days of 'Id. And 'A'isha said: I recapitulate to my mind the fact that once the Messenger of Allah ﷺ screened me with his mantle and I saw the sports of the Abyssinians, and I was only a girl, and so you can well imagine how a girl of tender age is fond of watching the sport.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her and there were two girls with her who were beating the duff. Abu Bakr scolded them, but the Prophet ﷺ said: "Leave them, for every people has an 'Eid."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ تَضْرِبَانِ بِدُفَّيْنِ فَانْتَهَرَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دَعْهُنَّ فَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا

Entered upon her and there were two girls with her beating the duff and singing, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was covered with his garment. He uncovered his face and said: "Let them be there, O Abu Bakr, for these are the days of 'Eid." Those were the days of Mina and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in Al-Madinah on that day."

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ تَضْرِبَانِ بِالدُّفِّ وَتُغَنِّيَانِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُسَجًّى بِثَوْبِهِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى مُتَسَجٍّ ثَوْبَهُ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ دَعْهُمَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ عِيدٍ وَهُنَّ أَيَّامُ مِنًى وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ

[AI] That Abu Bakr entered upon her and had two servant girls with him during the days of Mina, who were playing the drums. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was reclining on his garment, so he scolded them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then uncovered his face and said, "Leave them, O Abu Bakr, for these are the days of celebration." Aisha also said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ covering me with his garment while I watched the Abyssinians playing in the mosque until I became bored, and then I would sit and estimate the age of the young servant girl who was avidly interested in playing."

Abu Bakr, leave them alone for these are the days of 'Id. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was wearing a loose garment and was hiding from them. Abu Bakr scolded them, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ revealed his face and said, "Leave them, O Abu Bakr, for these are the days of Eid and those are the days of Mina." Aisha said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ covering me with his garment while I was looking at the Abyssinians playing in the mosque, and I was a young girl."
