[AI] I came to the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah, guide me to an action that will draw me closer to Paradise and keep me away from the Hellfire." He remained silent for a while, then raised his head to the sky and looked. He said, "Worship Allah, associating nothing with Him, establish the prayer, give the Zakat, fast during Ramadan and love for people what you love for yourself and dislike for them what you dislike for yourself, and leave people alone."

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمِلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَنَظَرَ فَقَالَ «تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ وَتُحِبُّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ وَمَا كَرِهْتَ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ فَدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْهُ»

[AI] "I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Prophet of Allah, guide me to a deed that would bring me closer to Paradise and keep me away from the Hellfire.' أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمِلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَنَظَرَ فَقَالَ «تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ وَتُحِبُّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ وَمَا كَرِهْتَ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ فَدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْهُ»

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , they said, "At Arafah, I approached him (the Messenger of Allah). I went near him until my camel's neck was close to his camel's neck. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me what will save me from the punishment of Allah and admit me into His Paradise.' He said, 'Worship Allah alone and do not associate anything with Him. Establish the prescribed prayers, give the obligatory charity, perform the pilgrimage and Umrah. I also think he said, 'Observe fasting in Ramadan and see what actions you prefer people to come to you with, so do those with them, and what actions you do not like people to come to you with, then refrain from those.'" "Ibn 'Awn (one of the narrators) was uncertain in the chain of narration for this hadith and he did not accurately report it from Muhammad bin Juhadah, but Hammam accurately reported it."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا بِعَرَفَةَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَذَهَبْتُ أَدْنُو مِنْهُ حَتَّى اجْتَازَ عُنُقُ رَاحِلَتِي عُنُقَ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي بِمَا يُنَجِّينِي مِنْ عَذَابِ اللهِ وَيُدْخِلُنِي جَنَّتَهُ فَقَالَ «اعْبُدِ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكْ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَأَدِّ الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ وَحِجَّ وَاعْتَمِرْ» وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ «وَصُمْ رَمَضَانَ وَانْظُرْ مَا تُحِبُّ لِلنَّاسِ أَنْ يَأْتُوهُ إِلَيْكَ فَافْعَلْهُ بِهِمْ وَمَا تَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتُوهُ إِلَيْكَ فَذَرْهُمْ مِنْهُ» «اضْطَرَبَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ فِي إِسْنَادِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَلَمْ يَضْبِطْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ وَضَبَطَهُ هَمَّامٌ»

" اعْبُدِ الله لا تُشْركْ بِهِ شيئًا، وأقِم الصَّلاةَ المكتوبَة، وأدِّ الزَّكَاة المفروضةَ، وَحُجّ، واعْتَمرْ، وصُمْ رمضانَ، وانْظُر ما تُحِبُّ للِنَّاسِ أنْ يأتوه إليكَ فَافْعَلهُ بِهِمْ، وما تَكْرَهُ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يأتُوهُ إليكَ فذرْهُمْ مِنْهُ".

"تعْبُدُ الله، وَلَا تُشْرِك بِهِ شَيئًا وتقيمُ الصَّلاةَ، وَتُؤْتِى الزَّكَاةِ، وَتَصوُمُ رَمَضَان، وتَحُجُّ البيتَ، وَتأتِى إِلَى النَّاسِ ما تحبُّ أنْ يُؤتى إِليكَ، وَتكْرهُ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تَكْرهُ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِليك".

"لَئِن كُنْتَ أوْجَزْت فِي الْمَسَألَة لَقَدْ أعْظَمْتَ وأَطوَلْتَ، فَاعْقِلْ عَنِّي إِذَن: اعْبُد اللهَ لا تُشْرِكْ بِهِ شيئًا، وَأقِم الصَّلاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ، وأَدِّ الزَّكَاةَ الْمفْرُوضَة، وَصُمْ رَمَضَانَ، وَحُجَّ الْبَيتَ واعْتَمِرْ، وَمَا تُحِبُّ أنْ يَفْعَلَهُ بِكَ النَّاسُ فَافْعَلْهُ بِهِمْ، وَما تَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَأتِي إِلَيكَ النَّاسُ فَذَرِ النَّاسِ مِنْهُ".

"لَئِنْ أَقْصَرْتَ الْخُطبَةَ لَقَدْ أعْظَمْتَ وَأَطْوَلْتَ، تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلاةِ المَفْرُوَضَةَ، وَتُؤْتى الزَّكَاةَ، وتَصُومُ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ، وَتَحُجُّ الْبَيتَ، وَتأَتِى إِلَى النَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤتَى إِلَيكَ، وَمَا كَرِهْتَ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيكَ فدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْهُ".
