Neither Allah's Apostle ﷺ nor his Companions (circumambulated the Ka'ba and) ran between al-Safa and al-Marwa but once (sufficing both for Hajj and 'Umra). But in the hadith transmitted by Muhammad b. Bakr there is an addition:" That is first circumambulation."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ يَقُولُ لَمْ يَطُفِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلاَ أَصْحَابُهُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلاَّ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا زَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ طَوَافَهُ الأَوَّلَ

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle ﷺ and his Companions did not observe Sa'i between al-Safa' and al-Marwa but only one Sa'i.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ لَمْ يَطُفِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلاَ أَصْحَابُهُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلاَّ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا

Jabir bin ‘Abdallah said “Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his Companions ran between Al Safa’ and Al Marwah except once and that was his first running.”

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ لَمْ يَطُفِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلاَ أَصْحَابُهُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلاَّ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا طَوَافَهُ الأَوَّلَ

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah, Ibn ‘Umar and Ibn ‘Abbas that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions came (to Makkah) to perform their Hajj and ‘Umrah, they only performed Tawaf once.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَطُفْ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ لِعُمْرَتِهِمْ وَحَجَّتِهِمْ حِينَ قَدِمُوا إِلاَّ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا

Jabir bin ‘Abdallah said “Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his Companions ran between Al Safa’ and Al Marwah except once and that was his first running.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1895)

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ لَمْ يَطُفِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلَا أَصْحَابُهُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلَّا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا طَوَافَهُ الْأَوَّلَ

[AI] "He heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say, 'And I do not know how many times he threw the pebble.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ وَلَا أَدْرِي بِكَمْ رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle ﷺ and his Companions did not observe Sa'i between al-Safa' and al-Marwa but only one Sa'i. (Using translation from Muslim 1279a)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ «لَمْ يَطُفْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَصْحَابُهُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلَّا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا طَوَافَهُ الْأَوَّلَ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ did not complete the Sa'i (going back and forth) between Safa and Marwa except for one circuit for his Hajj and Umrah."

«لَمْ يَطُفِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلَّا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا لِحَجَّتِهِ وَعُمْرَتِهِ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ and his companions "did not perform the Sa'y (ritual walking back and forth) between Safa and Marwa except once during their Hajj and Umrah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابَهُ «لَمْ يَطُوفُوا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِلَّا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا لِحَجِّهِمْ وَعُمْرَتِهِمْ»

"The Prophet and his Companions only performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah once." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2986)
