The Prophet ﷺ prayed while ʿAisha was lying between him and his Qibla on the bed on which they used to sleep.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَعَائِشَةُ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَنَامَانِ عَلَيْهِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to pray while I was sleeping across in his bed in front of him. Whenever he wanted to pray witr, he would wake me up and I would pray witr.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا رَاقِدَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

(the wife of the Prophet) Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to get up at night and pray while I used to lie across between him and the Qibla on his family's bed.

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَإِنِّي لَمُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَهْلِهِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to offer his night prayer while I was sleeping across in his bed. Whenever he intended to offer the witr prayer, he used to wake me up and I would offer the witr prayer too.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا رَاقِدَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةً عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ said his whole prayer (Tahajjud prayer) during the night while I lay between him and the Qibla. When he intended to say Witr (prayer) he awakened me and I too said witr (prayer).

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلاَتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ كُلَّهَا وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray at night and she (‘A’ishah) would lie between him and the qiblah, sleeping on the bed on which he would sleep. When he wanted to offer the witr prayer, he awakened her and she offered the witr prayer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي صَلاَتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهِيَ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَاقِدَةً عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَرْقُدُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَهَا فَأَوْتَرَتْ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺused to pray at night while I was lying down sleeping between him and the Qibla on his bed. When he wanted to pray witr he would wake me up and I would pray witr"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا رَاقِدَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

“The Prophet ﷺ used to pray at night, and I was laying between him and the prayer direction, as a (body for a) funeral horizontally.’”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

Allah Apostle prayed while I was lying like a dead body on his family bed between him and his Qibla. (Using translation from Bukhārī 383)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي وَهِيَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَهْلِهِ اعْتِرَاضَ الْجَنَازَةِ»

[AI] "Narrated by Aisha, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform his night prayer while I was lying across between him and the qiblah, just like the position of a deceased person lying across."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلَاتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺused to pray at night while I was lying down sleeping between him and the Qibla on his bed. When he wanted to pray witr he would wake me up and I would pray witr" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 759)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي

[AI] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, ﷺ , said that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to pray at night while I was in between him and the Qibla.

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while I was between him and the Qiblah.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray nine rak'ahs at night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1725)

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺused to pray at night while I was lying down sleeping between him and the Qibla on his bed. When he wanted to pray witr he would wake me up and I would pray witr" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 759)

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

The Prophet ﷺ used to pray at night while I lay interposed between him and the Qibla like a corpse on the bier. (Using translation from Muslim 512a)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ الْلَيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray, and I was lying on the bed between him and the Qibla. I asked, "Should I move to the wall of the mosque?" She said, "No, to his wall in the house."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَأَنِّي لَمُعْتَرِضَةٌ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ قُلْتُ أَبَيْنَهُمَا جُدُرُ الْمَسْجِدِ؟ قَالَتْ لَا فِي الْبَيْتِ إِلَى جُدُرِهِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺused to pray at night while I was lying down sleeping between him and the Qibla on his bed. When he wanted to pray witr he would wake me up and I would pray witr" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 759)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray at night and she (‘A’ishah) would lie between him and the qiblah, sleeping on the bed on which he would sleep. When he wanted to offer the witr prayer, he awakened her and she offered the witr prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 711)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَرْقُدُ عَلَيْهِ هُوَ وَأَهْلُهُ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray during the night while I was lying down, blocking the way between him and the qibla on the bed on which he and his family slept."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا رَاقِدَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَضْطَجِعُ عَلَيْهِ هُوَ وَأَهْلُهُ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray during the night while I was asleep between him and the qibla, and when he reached Witr, he would awaken me."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا نَائِمَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْوِتْرِ أَيْقَظَنِي»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray and I would be positioned in front of him concerning the Qibla, so when he intended to perform Witr prayer, he would gesture to me with his leg."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ أَمَامَهُ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ غَمَزَنِي بِرِجْلِهِ»

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic phrase into English is: "The Prophet ﷺ used to pray at night, and I was between him and the qibla. When he wanted to perform the Witr prayer, he would wake me up, and I would also perform the Witr prayer."

«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ»

[AI] Aisha said, "I saw myself in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ holding a funeral prayer like that of a dead body while he was praying."

عَائِشَةُ «لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُعْتَرِضَةً كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجَنَازَةِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺused to pray at night while I was lying down sleeping between him and the Qibla on his bed. When he wanted to pray witr he would wake me up and I would pray witr" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 759)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأنا رَاقِدَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray his night prayer, and I was struggling between him and the direction of the qibla, like the movement of a funeral procession.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلَاتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray his prayer at night while I was lying between him and the Qibla, like a deceased person in a funeral.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلَاتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to pray his night prayer while I was lying between him and the Qibla, like the position of a deceased person.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلَاتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

" عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: كان النبىُّ ﷺ يُسَبِّحُ من اللَّيْلِ وعائشةُ معترضة بَيْنَهُ وَبيْنَ القِبْلَةِ ".

"كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ [يُصَلِّي] وَإِنِّي لَمُعْتَرِضَةٌ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ".

"أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بينه وَبَيْنَ القِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الجِنَازَةِ".
