«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ»
"The Messenger of Allah forbade the Muhrim to wear clothes dyed with saffron or Wars." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2666)
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ»
Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked what sort of clothes a Muhrim should wear. He replied, "He should not wear a shirt, turbans, trousers, a hooded cloak, or a dress perfumed with saffron or Wars; and if slippers are not available he can wear Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) but he should cut them so that they reach below the ankles.
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فَقَالَ لاَ يَلْبَسِ الْقَمِيصَ وَلاَ الْعَمَائِمَ وَلاَ السَّرَاوِيلاَتِ وَلاَ الْبُرْنُسَ وَلاَ ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ زَعْفَرَانٌ وَلاَ وَرْسٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا حَتَّى يَكُونَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, a turban, trousers, hooded cloaks, a garment touched with (perfumes) of saffron or wars, or Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) except if one has no sandals in which case he should cut short the Khuffs below the ankles."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ الْقَمِيصَ وَلاَ الْعِمَامَةَ وَلاَ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلاَ الْبُرْنُسَ وَلاَ ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ زَعْفَرَانٌ وَلاَ وَرْسٌ وَلاَ الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلاَّ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْهُمَا فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ forbade Muhrims to wear clothes dyed with Wars or saffron.
نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِوَرْسٍ أَوْ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a Muhrim should wear clothes dyed with Saffron or Wars, and said, "Whoever has no shoes can put on Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) after cutting it below the ankles."
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
One who does not find shoes (to wear) he may wear stockings, but (only) after trimming them below the ankles.
أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
"The Messenger of Allah forbade the Muhrim to wear clothes dyed with saffron or Wars."
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ بِوَرْسٍ
"The Messenger of Allah was asked what clothes the Muhrim may wear. He said: 'He should not wear a shirt, or a burnous, or pants, or an 'Imamah (turban, or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) Wars or saffron, or Khuffs except for one who cannot find sandals. If he cannot find sandals, then let him cut them until they come lower than the ankles, (sahih)
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ قَالَ لاَ يَلْبَسُ الْقَمِيصَ وَلاَ الْبُرْنُسَ وَلاَ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلاَ الْعِمَامَةَ وَلاَ ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلاَ زَعْفَرَانٌ وَلاَ خُفَّيْنِ إِلاَّ لِمَنْ لاَ يَجِدُ نَعْلَيْنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا حَتَّى يَكُونَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
"I heard the Messenger of Allah say; 'If you cannot find an Izar then wear pants, and if you cannot find sandals then wear khuffs, but cut them so that they come lower than the ankles.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسِ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
That the Prophet said "If a Muhrim cannot find sandals then let him wear Khuffs, and cut them, so that they come lower than the ankles.''
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمُحْرِمُ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
“He should not wear a shirt, or turbans (or head cover), pants or pajamas, hooded cloaks and no leather socks, unless he cannot find sandals, in which case he may wear leather socks but should cut them to below the ankles. And he should not wear any clothes that have been touched (dyed) with saffron or Wars.”*

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The one in the state of Ihram should not wear a garment that is perfumed with saffron.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ

Yahya related to me from Malik from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade anyone in ihram to wear a garment which had been dyed with saffron or yellow dye, and said, 'Anyone that cannot find sandals can wear leather socks, but he should cut them off below the ankles.' "

[AI] A man stood up to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what clothing is prohibited for the pilgrim to wear?" He replied, "The pilgrim should not wear a shirt, turban, cloak, trousers, robe, or a garment touched by saffron or perfume. The pilgrim should not wear shoes unless he cannot find two sandals, in which case he cuts them below the ankles with their meaning."
أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَامَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ؟ قَالَ لَا يَلْبَسِ الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ وَلَا الْبُرْنُسَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلَا الْقَبَاءَ وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ أَوْ زَعْفَرَانٌ وَلَا يَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَجِدَ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَيَقْطَعَهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَبِمَعْنَاهُ
[AI] He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the pilgrim from wearing a garment dyed with saffron or wars, and he said, "Whoever does not find two sandals, should wear two khuffs and cut them below the ankles." In another narration from Ash-Shafi'i, it is said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it, and the rest is the same.
أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الشَّافِعِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى وَالْبَاقِي سَوَاءٌ
"مَنْ لَمْ يَجدْ نَعْلَين فَليَلبَسْ خُفَّين وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَينَ".
