bayhaqi:9064 – my father

[Machine] He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the pilgrim from wearing a garment dyed with saffron or wars, and he said, "Whoever does not find two sandals, should wear two khuffs and cut them below the ankles." In another narration from Ash-Shafi'i, it is said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it, and the rest is the same.  

البيهقي:٩٠٦٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ فِي آخَرِينَ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى الزَّاهِدُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الشَّافِعِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى وَالْبَاقِي سَوَاءٌ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a Muhrim should wear clothes dyed with Saffron or Wars, and said, "Whoever has no shoes can put on Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) after cutting it below the ankles."  

البخاري:٥٨٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ  

muslim:1177c – Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

One who does not find shoes (to wear) he may wear stockings, but (only) after trimming them below the ankles.  

مسلم:١١٧٧c – وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ  

malik:20-9 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Yahya related to me from Malik from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade anyone in ihram to wear a garment which had been dyed with saffron or yellow dye, and said, 'Anyone that cannot find sandals can wear leather socks, but he should cut them off below the ankles.' "  

مالك:٢٠-٩ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ  

ahmad:5336 – ʿAbd al-Raḥman Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

The Prophet ﷺ forbade Muhrims to wear clothes dyed with Wars or saffron. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5847)
