[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a group of sitting Ansar (companions from Al-Madinah) and said, 'If you are unwilling to do anything, then guide people towards the right path, spread peace, and assist the oppressed.' Shu'bah said, 'Abu Ishaq did not hear this narration from Al-Bara'.'  

الدارمي:٢٦٩٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِنَاسٍ جُلُوسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ «إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ وَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ» قَالَ شُعْبَةُ «لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ مِنَ الْبَرَاءِ»

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by some people from the Ansar (Muslims of Medina) and said, 'If you are capable, spread peace, assist the oppressed, and guide those who are astray.'"  

أحمد:١٨٤٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنَ الْبَرَاءِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِنَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ وَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a gathering of the Ansar and said, "If you refuse to sit, guide the way, respond to greetings, and aid the oppressed."  

أحمد:١٨٤٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى مَجْلِسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَجْلِسُوا فَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ وَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ  

ahmad:18590 – Yaḥyá b. Ādam > Isrāʾīl > Abū Isḥāq > al-Barāʾ b. ʿĀzib

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a gathering of the Ansar and said, "If you refuse anything other than sitting, guide the way, return greetings, and help the oppressed."  

أحمد:١٨٥٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى مَجْلِسِ من الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَجْلِسُوا فَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ وَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ  

ahmad:18676 – Abū Saʿīd > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Barāʾ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a group of the Ansar in their gatherings and said, "If you must do something, guide towards the right path, spread peace, and help the oppressed." Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated this from Shu'bah, and Abu Ishaq narrated from Al-Bara' but he did not hear it directly from Al-Bara'.  

أحمد:١٨٦٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأُنَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي مَجَالِسِهِمْ فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ وَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ مِنَ الْبَرَاءِ
