"Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah wrote to Mu'awiyah (Saying) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say following every prayer, after the taslim: 'La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)' الدارمي:١٣٨٩أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ أَمْلَى عَلَيَّ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فِي كِتَابٍ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

(the clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba) Once Al-Mughira dictated to me in a letter addressed to Muawiya that the Prophet ﷺ used to say after every compulsory prayer, "La ilaha illa l-lahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu l-mulku wa lahu l-hamdu, wa huwa ʿala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la maniʿa lima aʿtaita, wa la muʿtiya lima manaʿta, wa la yanfaʿu dhal-jaddi minka l-jadd. [There is no Deity but Allah, Alone, no Partner to Him. His is the Kingdom and all praise, and Omnipotent is he. O Allah! Nobody can hold back what you gave, nobody can give what You held back, and no struggler's effort can benefit against You]." And Al-Hasan said, "Al-jadd' means prosperity [??]."

(the freed slave of Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba) Al-Mughira wrote to Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan that Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say at the end of every prayer after the Taslim, "La ilaha illa-l-lahu wahdahu la sharika lahu; lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd, wahuwa 'ala kulli shai'n qadir. Allahumma la mani'a Lima a taita, wa la mu'ta Lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddu minkal-jadd.

(The clerk of Al-Mughira) Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira 'Write to me what you have heard from Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' So he (Al-Mughira) wrote to him: Allah's Prophet used to say at the end of each prayer: "La ilaha illalla-h wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul Mulku, wa lahul Hamdu wa hula ala kulli shai'in qadir. 'Allahumma la mani' a lima a'taita, wala mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wala yanfa'u dhuljadd minkal-jadd." He also wrote to him that the Prophet ﷺ used to forbid (1) Qil and Qal (idle useless talk or that you talk too much about others), (2) Asking too many questions (in disputed Religious matters); (3) And wasting one's wealth by extravagance; (4) and to be undutiful to one's mother (5) and to bury the daughters alive (6) and to prevent your favors (benevolence to others (i.e. not to pay the rights of others (7) And asking others for something (except when it is unavoidable).  

البخاري:٧٢٩٢حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer and pronounced salutation he uttered (this supplication):" There is no god but Allah. He is alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him praise is due and He is Potent over every. thing. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and the riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee."

Mu'awiya wrote to Mughira: Write to me anything which you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So he (Mughira) wrote to him (Mu'awiya): I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ uttering (these words) at the completion of prayer:" There is no god but Allah. He is alone and there is no partner with Him. Sovereignty belongs to Him and to Him is praise due and He is Potent over everything. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee."

Muawiyah wrote to Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah saying: "Tell me of something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying, he would say: La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. "Mu'awiyah wrote to al-Mughirah b. Shu'bah: 'What would the the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite when he gave Taslim (salutation) in the prayer ?' Al-Mughirah dictated and wrote to Mu'awiyah: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say (at the end of the prayer after taslim): 'There is no God but Allah, Alone, Who has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion, to Him praise is due, and He is Omnipotent. O Allah no one cane withhold what You give and give what You withhold, and none benefits the fortunate person, for from You is the fortune. '"  

أبو داود:١٥٠٥حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَأَمْلاَهَا الْمُغِيرَةُ عَلَيْهِ وَكَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ

the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says, following the morning prayer: La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sahrikalau, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, bi yadihil khair, wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion, all praise is to Him, in His Hand is all goodness, and He is Able to do all things), it will be as if he freed slave from among the sons of Isma'il."  

ابن ماجة:٣٧٩٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ فِي دُبُرِ صَلاَةِ الْغَدَاةِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَانَ كَعَتَاقِ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ  

malik:20-131Mālik > Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī from his father > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

Yahya related to me from Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammed ibn AIi from his father from Jabir ibn Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Allah is greater" three times when he stopped on Safa, and "There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner. To Him belong the Kingdom and praise, and He has power over everything" three times, and make dua. He would then do the same on Marwa.  

مالك:٢٠-١٣١وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا وَقَفَ عَلَى الصَّفَا يُكَبِّرُ ثَلاَثًا وَيَقُولُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَيَدْعُو وَيَصْنَعُ عَلَى الْمَرْوَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying when he made the salutation: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise. O Allah, there is no withholder of what You give, and no giver of what You withhold. And no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, for from You is all wealth and majesty." Then Warraad said, "I went to Muawiyah after that and I heard him ordering the people to say this statement and teaching it to them."  

أحمد:١٨١٣٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وحَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدَةُ بْنُ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ أَنَّ وَرَّادًا مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَخْبَرَهُأَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ كَتَبَ الْكِتَابَ لَهُ وَرَّادٌ إِنِّي

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ حِينَ يُسَلِّمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ قَالَ وَرَّادٌ ثُمَّ وَفَدْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَأْمُرُ النَّاسَ بِذَلِكَ الْقَوْلِ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُوهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says 'There is no god but Allah, He is One and has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things' ten times, it will be for him like freeing ten slaves or one slave."  

أحمد:٢٣٥٤٦حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كُنَّ لَهُ كَعَدْلِ عِتْقِ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ أَوْ رَقَبَةٍ

Muawiyah wrote to Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah saying: "Tell me of something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying, he would say: La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)'" "Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah wrote to Mu'awiyah (Saying) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say following every prayer, after the taslim: 'La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. [Machine] I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then Al-Mugheerah invited me. He wrote to him, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that when he finishes his prayer, he says, 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He is capable of everything. O Allah, there is no one who can withhold what You give, and no one can give what You withhold, and the true benefit is not from the one who appears to be a benefactor. And I heard him forbid backbiting, spreading gossip, excessive questioning, wasting money, maltreatment of daughters, and disobedience to parents, and from injustice and attacking others without a justifiable reason.  

أحمد:١٨٢٣٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَامِرٌ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِمَا

سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَانِي الْمُغِيرَةُ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَنْهَى عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَعَنْ كَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ وَعَنْ وَأْدِ الْبَنَاتِ وَعُقُوقِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَمَنْعٍ وَهَاتِ  

ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ التَّهْلِيلِ الَّذِي يُهَلِّلُ بِهِ الْمَرْءُ رَبَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا فِي عُقَيْبِ صَلَاتِهِ

"Mu'awiyah wrote to al-Mughirah b. Shu'bah: 'What would the the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite when he gave Taslim (salutation) in the prayer ?' Al-Mughirah dictated and wrote to Mu'awiyah: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say (at the end of the prayer after taslim): 'There is no God but Allah, Alone, Who has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion, to Him praise is due, and He is Omnipotent. O Allah no one cane withhold what You give and give what You withhold, and none benefits the fortunate person, for from You is the fortune. '" (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1505)   

ابن حبّان:٢٠٠٥أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ قَالَ

كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاتِهِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِي لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»  

ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ ثَانٍ يُصَرِّحُ بِاسْتِعْمَالِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ مَا وَصَفْنَا

ابن حبّان:٢٠٠٧أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَرَّادًا كَاتَبَ الْمُغِيرَةِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَانَ إِذَا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ فَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لَمَّا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»  

ذِكْرُ مَا يَقُولُ الْحَاجُّ وَالْمُعْتَمِرُ عَلَى الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ إِذَا رَقَاهُمَا

when the Messenger of Allah stood on top of As-Safa, he recited the Takbir three times and said: "La ilaha illallah, Wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumitu, wa huwaala kulli shayin qadir (There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone with no partner or associate, His is the dominion and to Him be praise, He gives life and death, and He has power over all things)." He did three times, and supplicated, and did the same a top Al-Marwah. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2972)  

ابن حبّان:٣٨٤٢أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ بِمَنْبِجَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا وَقَفَ عَلَى الصَّفَا يُكَبِّرُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ» يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَيَدْعُو وَيَصْنَعُ عَلَى الْمَرْوَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[Machine] I heard Muawiyah on the pulpit saying, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , used to say when he finished praying: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Over all things capable. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or fortune can benefit the possessor against You.'"  

الطبراني:١٧٠٣٤حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا انْفَتَلَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

“Whoever says ten times: ‘None has the right to be worshipped by Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the praise, [He gives life and causes death,] and He has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, [yuḥyī wa yumītu,] wa huwa ʿalā kulli shai’in qadīr)’ it is for him equal to freeing four slaves among the offspring of Ismaʿil.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3553)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ دُبُرَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كُنَّ لَهُ عِدْلَ أَرْبَعِ رِقَابٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'There is no deity except Allah, alone, without any partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him is all praise, and He is able to do all things,' will have as many rewards as if he had freed a slave or slaves in the cause of Allah."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says 'There is no deity but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things capable' is like freeing four souls from among the descendants of Isma'il."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ مِثْلُ عِتْقِ أَرْبَعَةِ أَنْفُسٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says at the end of the Dawn prayer, 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is powerful over all things,' one hundred times before moving his feet, he will be better than the people of the earth on that day except for those who say the same or increase upon it."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says 'There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things', will not be preceded by any deed and no evil deed will remain with him."  

الطبراني:٧٥٣٣حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْأَذَنِيُّ وعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْيرٌ لَمْ يَسْبِقْهَا عَمِلٌ وَلَمْ تَبْقَ مَعَهَا سَيِّئَةٌ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer and pronounced salutation he uttered (this supplication):" There is no god but Allah. He is alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him praise is due and He is Potent over every. thing. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and the riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee." (Using translation from Muslim 593a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] That you write to me about something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so Al-Mughirah wrote to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he finished prayer: "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him is the praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty, and You are the One Who prevents and the One Who gives, and there is no power or might except with You. And he used to forbid idle talk, excessive questioning, wasting money, disobeying mothers, and mistreating daughters."  

الطبراني:١٨٠٩٥حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ وَزَكَرِيَّا وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَمُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنِ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ الْمُغِيرَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَكَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ وَعَنْ مَنَعَ وَهَاتِ وَعُقُوقِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَوَأْدِ الْبَنَاتِ»

[Machine] That you write to me about something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before he left the prayer, he said: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of everything. O Allah, no one can withhold what You have given, and no one can give what You have withheld, and the might of the mighty does not benefit against You."  

الطبراني:١٨٠٩٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ دَاوُدَ وَمُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتَبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to say after the prayer: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ دُبُرَ الصَّلَاةِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ»

"Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah wrote to Mu'awiyah (Saying) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say following every prayer, after the taslim: 'La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1342)

[Machine] Muawiyah wrote to Al-Mughira: Write to me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said after his prayer: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say after his prayer, "There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the kingdom and praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, there is no one who can withhold what You have given, and there is no one who can give what You have withheld. And the importance of the importance comes only from You."  

الطبراني:١٨١١٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَا ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ وَعِنْدَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ سَمِعَا وَرَّادًا كَاتَبَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ

كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ صَلَاتِهِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer and pronounced salutation he uttered (this supplication):" There is no god but Allah. He is alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him praise is due and He is Potent over every. thing. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and the riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee." (Using translation from Muslim 593a)

[Machine] "To write to me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he wrote to him in my handwriting: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he would finish his prayer, "There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is capable of all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold. No generous act can benefit the doer except through You."'

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say when he was giving salutations, "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, no one can withhold what You have given, and no one can give what You have withheld, and the effort of the one who strives cannot benefit him against You."

[Machine] About Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, he wrote to Muawiyah that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished performing the prayer, he used to say, "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associates. His is the dominion, and to Him is all praise. He is able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, nor can anyone give what You withhold, and no wealth or fortune can benefit one who possesses no fortune or wealth from You."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to say after the prayer: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is the Ever-Living who never dies. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable. O Allah, there is no one who can prevent what You have given, and no one can give what You have prevented. And there is no might or power except with You."

Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)' [Machine] From the last things that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, he wrote to him that he used to say when he would greet, "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty." After he would greet with his right hand and his left hand, he would greet with his right hand until the whiteness of his right cheek was visible, and with his left hand until the whiteness of his left cheek was visible.

عَنْ آخِرِ مَا كَانَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ» بَعْدَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَكَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ

[Machine] That he should write to him about something that he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So, he wrote to him saying: Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he would say: "There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. He has power over all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, for from You is all wealth and majesty."

O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)' الطبراني:١٨١٣٤حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ أَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ كَاتَبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ صَلَاتِهِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ something he said after the prayer. Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say after the prayer: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise, and He is capable of all things. O Allah, there is none who can withhold what You give, nor can anyone give what You withhold, and no wealth or abundance can benefit a person against You.'"

سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا يَقُولُ دُبُرَ الصَّلَاةِ؟ فَقَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ دُبُرَ الصَّلَاةِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] Muawiya wrote to Mughira bin Shu'ba, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say anything after the prayer?" He said, "He used to say, 'There is no god but Allah, He is One and has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, for from You is all wealth and majesty.'"

كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ شَيْئًا بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ كَانَ يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say "Allah hears the one who praises Him" and he would say "O Allah, there is no one who can prevent what You have given, and no one can give what You have prevented, and no grandeur can benefit its possessor against You."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَالَ «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» قَالَ «اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to say after finishing the prayer, "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion, His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, there is none who can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, for from You is all wealth and majesty."  

الطبراني:١٢٧٩٦حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ النُّكْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

Muawiyah wrote to Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah saying: "Tell me of something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying, he would say: La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)'" الكبرى للنسائي:١٢٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ كِلَاهُمَا سَمِعَا مِنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَخْبَرَنِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمَلَكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لَمَّا أَعْطَيْتُ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لَمَّا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer and pronounced salutation he uttered (this supplication):" There is no god but Allah. He is alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him praise is due and He is Potent over every. thing. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and the riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee." (Using translation from Muslim 593a)  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٢٦٦أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ الْمُغِيرَةَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ دُبُرَ الصَّلَاةِ إِذَا سَلَّمَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لَمَّا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لَمَّا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

(the freed slave of Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba) Al-Mughira wrote to Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan that Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say at the end of every prayer after the Taslim, "La ilaha illa-l-lahu wahdahu la sharika lahu; lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd, wahuwa 'ala kulli shai'n qadir. Allahumma la mani'a Lima a taita, wa la mu'ta Lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddu minkal-jadd. (Using translation from Bukhārī 6330)

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»
