2.105 [Machine] In the Mire of Poetry

٢۔١٠٥ بَابٌ فِي عَقْصِ الشَّعْرِ

darimi:1420 – Saʿīd b. ʿĀmir > Shuʿbah > Mikhwal > Abū Saʿīd > Abū Rāfiʿ

[Machine] "Rasul Allah ﷺ saw me while I was in prostration, and I had braided my hair or tied it up, so I released it."  

الدارمي:١٤٢٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مِخْوَلٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ

رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا سَاجِدٌ وَقَدْ عَقَصْتُ شَعْرِي أَوْ قَالَ عَقَدْتُ «فَأَطْلَقَهُ»

Ṣāliḥ > Bakr > Ibn Muḍar > ʿAmr / Ibn al-Ḥārith > Bukayr > Kurayb a freed slave of Ibn ʿAbbās > Ibn ʿAbbās Raʾá ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥārith Yuṣallī And Raʾsuh Maʿqūṣ from Warāʾih Faqām Warāʾah Fajaʿal Yaḥulluh Waʾaqar Lah al-Ākhar Thum Ānṣaraf > Ibn ʿAbbās > Mā Lak Waraʾsī > Innī

Kurayb the freed slave of Ibn Abbas reported: Abdullah ibn Abbas saw Abdullah ibn al-Harith praying having the back knot of the hair. He stood behind him and began to untie it. He remained standing unmoved (stationary). When he finished his prayer he came to Ibn Abbas and said to him: What were you doing with my head? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A man who prays with the black knot of hair tied is the one praying pinioned. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 647)  

الدارمي:١٤٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ هُوَ ابْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ أَنَّ كُرَيْبًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَأَى عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ يُصَلِّي وَرَأْسُهُ مَعْقُوصٌ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ فَقَامَ وَرَاءَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَحُلُّهُ وَأَقَرَّ لَهُ الْآخَرُ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ مَا لَكَ وَرَأْسِي؟ قَالَ إِنِّي

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ هَذَا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ مَكْتُوفٌ»
