[Machine] "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a group of my people while we were young. We stayed with him for twenty nights, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was a companion to us. When he saw our yearning for our families, he said, 'Return to your families and be among them. Command them and teach them, and pray as you have seen me pray. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer and then lead you in prayer, with the most knowledgeable among you leading."'  

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ قَوْمِي وَنَحْنُ شَبَبَةٌ فَأَقَمْنَا عِنْدَهُ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَفِيقًا فَلَمَّا رَأَى شَوْقَنَا إِلَى أَهْلِينَا قَالَ «ارْجِعُوا إِلَى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَكُونُوا فِيهِمْ فَمُرُوهُمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَصَلُّوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُونِي أُصَلِّي فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ»  

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺsaid: 'If there are three people, let one of them lead the others in prayer, and the one who has the most right to lead the prayer is the one who recites (knows) the most (Qur'an)."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 840)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اجْتَمَعَ ثَلَاثَةٌ فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ وَأَحَقُّهُمْ بِالْإِمَامَةِ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ»
