bukhari:6947 – Abū al-Nuʿmān > Ḥammād b. Zayd > ʿAmr b. Dīnār > Jābir

A man from the Ansar made his slave, a Mudabbar. And apart from that slave he did not have any other property. This news reached Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "Who will buy that slave from me?" So Nu'aim bin An-Nahham bought him for 800 Dirham. Jabir added: It was a coptic (Egyptian) slave who died that year.  

البخاري:٦٩٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ

Jabir said: An Ansari man made his slave a Mudabbar and he had no other property than him. When the Prophet ﷺ heard of that, he said (to his companions), "Who wants to buy him (i.e., the slave) for me?" Nu'aim bin An-Nahham bought him for eight hundred Dirhams. I heard Jabir saying, "That was a coptic slave who died in the same year."

Who will buy him from me? And Nu'aim b. al-Nahham bought him for eight hundred dirhams and he handed them over to him, 'Amr (one of the narrators) said: I heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah as saying: He was a Coptic slave, and he died in the first year (of the Caliphate of 'Abdullah b. Zubair).

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ غُلاَمًا لَهُ عَنْ دُبُرٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَشْتَرِيهِ مِنِّي فَاشْتَرَاهُ نُعَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَدَفَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ قَالَ عَمْرٌو سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ عَبْدًا قِبْطِيًّا مَاتَ عَامَ أَوَّلَ

A person amongst the Ansar who had no other property declared a slave free after his death. Messenger of Allah ﷺ sold him, and Ibn al-Nahham bought him and he was a Coptic slave (who) died in the first year of the Caliphate of Ibn Zubair.  

مسلم:٩٩٧d – وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعَ عَمْرٌو جَابِرًا يَقُولُ دَبَّرَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ غُلاَمًا لَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُ فَبَاعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَاشْتَرَاهُ ابْنُ النَّحَّامِ عَبْدًا قِبْطِيًّا مَاتَ عَامَ أَوَّلَ فِي إِمَارَةِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

[Machine] A man from the Ansar had emancipated a boy he owned, although he did not have any wealth except for the boy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of this, so he said, "Who will buy him from me?" Nuaim ibn Abdullah al-Nahham bought him for eight hundred dirhams and paid the amount to the man. Jabir said, "He was a Coptic slave who died in the first year."  

ابن حبّان:٤٩٣٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
