Ubaidullah bin ʿAbdullah told me that ʿAisha had said, "When the Prophet ﷺ became sick and his condition became serious, he requested his wives to allow him to be treated in my house, and they allowed him. He came out leaning on two men while his feet were dragging on the ground. He was walking between Al-ʿAbbas and another man." 'Ubaidullah said, "When I informed Ibn ʿAbbas of what ʿAisha had said, he asked me whether I knew who was the second man whom ʿAisha had not named. I replied in the negative. He said, 'He was ʿAli bin Abi Talib."

(the wife of the Prophet) When the health of Messenger of Allah ﷺ deteriorated and his condition became serious, he asked the permission of all his wives to allow him to be treated In my house, and they allowed him. He came out, supported by two men and his legs were dragging on the ground between ʿAbbas and another man. (The sub-narrator told Ibn ʿAbbas who said: Do you know who was the other man whom ʿAisha did not mention? The sub-narrator said: No. Ibn ʿAbbas said: It was ʿAli.) ʿAisha added: When the Prophet entered my house and his disease became aggravated, he said, "Pour on me seven water skins full of water (the tying ribbons of which had not been untied) so that I may give some advice to the people." So we made him sit in a tub belonging to Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ and started pouring water on him from those water skins till he waved us to stop. Then he went out to the people and led them in prayer and delivered a speech before them.

[Machine] The first thing that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ complained about was in the house of Maimuna. He sought permission from his wives to be treated in her house, and they granted him permission. He left with one hand on Al-Fadl ibn Abbas and the other hand on another man, while dragging his feet on the ground. Ubaydullah said, "I narrated this to ibn Abbas, and he asked me, 'Do you know who the other man was that Aisha did not mention?' It was Ali, but Aisha did not hold a good opinion of him."
