"In the first rak'ah of witr, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "GLorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" in the second; "Say: O you disbelievers!" and in the third; "Say: He is Allah, (the) One."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى مِنَ الْوَتْرِ بِ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ }

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in witr, in the second rak'ah he would recite: "Say: O you disbelievers!"; and in the third "Say: He is Allah, (the) One". And he only said the taslim at the end, and he would say- meaning after the taslim: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy)' three times."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوَتْرِ بِ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَفِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بِ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ } وَلاَ يُسَلِّمُ إِلاَّ فِي آخِرِهِنَّ وَيَقُولُ يَعْنِي بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلاَثًا

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray witr with three rak'ahs. In the first he would recite "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in the second: "Say: O You disbelievers!" and in the third: "Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِثَلاَثٍ يَقْرَأُ فِي الأُولَى بِ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ } أَوْقَفَهُ زُهَيْرٌ

Ibn Abbas used to pray witr with three (units) with (the Surahs): "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High" (Surah Al-A'la), "Say: O You disbelievers" (Surah Al-Kafirun), and "Say: He is Allah, (the) One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas).

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلاَثٍ بِ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ }

Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times."

"I asked Aishah about what (recitation) Messenger of Allah would perform Al-Witr with. She said: 'In the first he would recite: Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High, in the second: Say: O you disbelievers!, and in the third: Say: Allah is One" and, Al-Mu'awwidhatain.'"

سَأَلْنَا عَائِشَةَ بِأَىِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يُوتِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الأُولَى بِ (سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى ) وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِ(قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ) وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ (قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ) وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)]

“We asked ‘Aishah what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr. She said: ‘He used to recite: “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High,” [Al-A’la (87)] in the first Rak’ah, ‘Say: “O disbelievers!’” [Al- Kafirun (109)] in the second Rak’ah, and ‘Say: Allah is One’ in the third and the Mu’awwidhatain (Chapter 113, 114).’”

Ibn Abbas used to pray witr with three (units) with (the Surahs): "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High" (Surah Al-A'la), "Say: O You disbelievers" (Surah Al-Kafirun), and "Say: He is Allah, (the) One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1703)

“We asked ‘Aishah what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr. [Machine] The translation is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer with three units. In the first unit, he would recite "Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdika, tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghairuka" (Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. Blessed is Your name and exalted is Your majesty. There is no deity worthy of worship except You). In the second unit, he would recite "Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun" (Say, O disbelievers). And in the third unit, he would recite "Qul huwa Allahu ahad" (Say, He is Allah, the One). Then he would seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak (Al-Falaq) and seek refuge in the Lord of mankind (An-Nas)."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in Witr prayer, in the first Rak'ah, "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High." In the second Rak'ah, he would recite "Say: O disbelievers." In the third Rak'ah, he would recite "Say: He is Allah, the One" and "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak." Lastly, he would recite "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform two units of prayer, followed by Witr prayer wherein he would recite after them "Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Say: O disbelievers!" And in Witr prayer, he would recite "Say: He is Allah, the One" and "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak" and "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ يُوتِرُ بَعْدَهُمَا بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1171)

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ that he used to recite in Witr prayer: 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' and 'Say: O disbelievers' and 'Say: He is Allah, [who is] One'."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ «يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ»

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer with recitation of Subhan Allahi Rabbil 'Ala (Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Highest) and Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers) and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter of Tawheed) in every unit (rak'ah). Abu Nuaim reported this."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فِي رَكْعَةٍ رَكْعَةٍ» وَقَفَهُ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1171)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُوتِرُ بِسَبَّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فِي رَكْعَةٍ رَكْعَةٍ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray witr with three rak'ahs. In the first he would recite "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in the second: "Say: O You disbelievers!" and in the third: "Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1702)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ يُقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى بِسَبَّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ» وَقَفَهُ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ

Ibn Abbas used to pray witr with three (units) with (the Surahs): "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High" (Surah Al-A'la), "Say: O You disbelievers" (Surah Al-Kafirun), and "Say: He is Allah, (the) One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1703)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ»

“We asked ‘Aishah what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr. She said: ‘He used to recite: “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High,” [Al-A’la (87)] in the first Rak’ah, ‘Say: “O disbelievers!’” [Al- Kafirun (109)] in the second Rak’ah, and ‘Say: Allah is One’ in the third and the Mu’awwidhatain (Chapter 113, 114).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1173)

سَأَلْنَا عَائِشَةَ بِأِيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْوِتْرِ؟ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ

Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1729)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَرْفَعُ بِالثَّالِثَةِ صَوْتَهُ

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يقرأ في الوتر في الركعة الأولى بـ سبح اسم ربك الأعلى وفي الثانية بـ قل يأيها الكفرون وفي الثالثة بـ قل هو الله أحد

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونُ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يوتر بـ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى و قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ و قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الفجر قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ و قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

"عَنْ عِمرانَ بنِ حُصَين أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلاثٍ يَقْرأُ فِى الأُولَى بِسَبَّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى، وَفِى الثَّانِيةِ بِقُلْ يَأيُّهَا الكَافِرُون، وَفِى الثَّانية بِقُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ".

"كَانَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بثَلاثٍ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِنَّ بِسَبِّح اسْمَ ربِّكَ الأعْلَى، وَقُلْ يَأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَقُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ".
