"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in witr, in the second rak'ah he would recite: "Say: O you disbelievers!"; and in the third "Say: He is Allah, (the) One". And he only said the taslim at the end, and he would say- meaning after the taslim: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy)' three times."

Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times."

And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice the third time."

"Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Salamah and Zubaid informed me, from Dharr, from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bn Abza from Abdur-Rahman, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice with Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus the third time."

"Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثًا

[Machine] Zubayd and Salamah informed me that they heard from Ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abzah, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ used to perform the night prayer with the recitation of the Surah of "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High," and the Surahs of "O disbelievers" and "Say: He is Allah, the One." And when he finished the prayer, he would say, "Exalted is the King, the Holy One," three times, raising his voice in the last one.

زُبَيْدٌ وَسَلَمَةُ أَخْبَرَانِي أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا ذَرًّا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالْآخِرَةِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1171)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ» ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ وَيَرْفَعُ أَرْسَلَهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer by reciting Surahs such as "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Say, O disbelievers". He would also recite "Say: He is Allah, the One". When he finished, he would say "Glory be to the King, the Holy" three times, raising his voice during the last repetition. Muhammad ibn Juhaadah went against this practice and narrated it from Zubeid, who narrated it from Ibn Abza, but he did not mention anything after that.

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ» ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالثَّالِثَةِ

"Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Salamah and Zubaid informed me, from Dharr, from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bn Abza from Abdur-Rahman, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice with Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus the third time." "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating his words the third time." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1734)

عَنْ أَبِيهِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ وَفَرَغَ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ» ثَلَاثًا يُطَوِّلُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in witr, in the second rak'ah he would recite: "Say: O you disbelievers!"; and in the third "Say: He is Allah, (the) One". And he only said the taslim at the end, and he would say- meaning after the taslim: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy)' three times." "Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1740)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِسَبَّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلَكِ الْقُدُّوسِ» ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ خَالَفَهُ حُصَيْنُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform his night prayer by reciting "Subhan Rabbi l-A'la" and "Qul ya ayyuha l-Kafirun" and "Huwa Allah ahad." After completing the prayer, he would say "Subhan al-Malik al-Qudus" three times. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman Shu'bah said: 'Zubayd and Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza both narrated this hadith to me.'

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ شُعْبَةُ أَدْخَلَ بَيْنَ زُبَيْدٍ وَبَيْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى زِرًّا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكِ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا مَدَّ الصَّوْتَ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr by reciting: “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High” (Sūrat al-Aʿlā), “Say: O disbelievers” (Sūrat al-Kāfirūn), and “Say: He is Allah, One” (Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ). Then, when he finished with the salām, he would say, “Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy,” three times, and he would prolong it on the third time.

And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating the words the third time, then raising it." "كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِى الْوِتْرِ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى}، وَ {قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ}، وَ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلاثَ مَرَّات يَرْفَعُ بِالثَّالِثةِ صَوْتَهُ".
