The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and "Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One." And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) raising his voice the third time."

His father said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and "Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One." And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice with it."

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and "Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One." And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating the words the third time, then raising it."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ } وَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ

Ibn Abbas used to pray witr with three (units) with (the Surahs): "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High" (Surah Al-A'la), "Say: O You disbelievers" (Surah Al-Kafirun), and "Say: He is Allah, (the) One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1703)

Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' "Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1740)

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ مِنَ الْوِتْرِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer with reciting the Surah "Subhanallahi-l-‘Azeem" (Glory be to Allah, the Supreme) and "Qul ya ayyuha-l-Kafiroon" (Say: O disbelievers) and "Huwa Allahu ahad" (He is Allah, the One) and after completing the prayer, he would say "Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus" (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Holy) three times, prolonging his voice in the last one of them.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer by reciting Surahs such as "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Say, O disbelievers". He would also recite "Say: He is Allah, the One". When he finished, he would say "Glory be to the King, the Holy" three times, raising his voice during the last repetition. Muhammad ibn Juhaadah went against this practice and narrated it from Zubeid, who narrated it from Ibn Abza, but he did not mention anything after that.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ» ثَلَاثًا يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ بِالْآخِرَةِ [270] خَالَفَهُمَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبْزَى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ ذَرًّا

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1736)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray witr with three rak'ahs. In the first he would recite: "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High" in the second: "Say: O you disbelievers!", and in the third: "Say: He is Allah, (the) One". And he would say the Qunut before bowing, and when he finished he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating the words the last time. أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ «سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ» ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالثَّالِثَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating his words the third time." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1734)

"Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1740)

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer with recitation of Subhan Allahi Rabbil 'Ala (Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Highest) and Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers) and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter of Tawheed) in every unit (rak'ah). Abu Nuaim reported this."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1731)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1171)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform his night prayer by reciting "Subhan Rabbi l-A'la" and "Qul ya ayyuha l-Kafirun" and "Huwa Allah ahad." After completing the prayer, he would say "Subhan al-Malik al-Qudus" three times. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman Shu'bah said: 'Zubayd and Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza both narrated this hadith to me.'

"Shu'bah narrated to us, from Salamah and Zubaid, from Dharr, from Ibn Abdur-Rahman bin Abza from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice the third time." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1732)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr by reciting: “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High” (Sūrat al-Aʿlā), “Say: O disbelievers” (Sūrat al-Kāfirūn), and “Say: He is Allah, One” (Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ). Then, when he finished with the salām, he would say, “Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy,” three times, and he would prolong it on the third time.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer in three units, in which he would recite Surah Al-Ala (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High), Surah Al-Kafirun (Say: O disbelievers), and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Say: He is Allah, the One). He would also engage in supplication before the Ruku' (bowing) position and say "Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus" (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) twice, quietly the first time and aloud the second time, extending his voice with it.
