"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Either you command good and forbid evil, or Allah will soon send upon you a punishment from Him, then you will call upon Him, but He will not respond to you. " (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2169)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ ثُمَّ لَتَدْعُوَنَّهُ فَلَا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَكُمْ
from the Prophet ﷺ said: “By Him in whose hand is my soul, you will surely enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, or else Allah will soon send upon you a punishment from Him; then you will call upon Him, but you will not be answered.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ تَدْعُونَهُ فَلاَ يُسْتَجَابُ لَكُمْ».

"لَتَأمُرنَّ بالمَعْروف، وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنْ المُنكر، أوْ لَيبْعَثَنَّ الله عَلَيكُمْ العَجَمَ فَلَيَضْربُنَّ رِقَابَكُم، ولَيَكُونُنَّ أبَيدًا لا يَفِرَّونَ".
"والذِي نَفْسي بِيدِهِ لَتَأمُرُنَ بالمعروفِ، وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنْ المنكرِ، أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللهُ أَنْ يبعثَ عليكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْ عِنْدِه، ثُم لَتَدْعُنَّهُ فَلا يستَجيبُ لَكُم".
"عن على قال: لَتَأمُرُنَّ بالمعروفِ ولتَنْهَوُنَّ عن المنكرِ، أو لَيُسَلّطَنَّ الله عليكم شرارَكم، ثُمَّ يَدْعُو خيارُكم فلا يُسْتَجابُ لَهمْ".
