35. Wills and Testimony
٣٥۔ كِتَابُ الْوَصَايَا
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have an orphan with me whom I hit. He said, 'Did you used to hit your own child?' He replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Do you eat from his wealth?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Then do not take anything from his wealth, as this is extortion and injustice. Your wealth is sufficient for you.' This hadith has been narrated from another source which is weak and has been previously mentioned in the Book of Sales."
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي حِجْرِي يَتِيمًا فَأَضْرِبُهُ؟ قَالَ مَا كُنْتَ ضَارِبًا فِيهِ وَلَدَكَ؟ قَالَ أَفَآكُلُ؟ قَالَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ غَيْرَ مُتَأَثِّلٍ مَالًا وَلَا وَاقٍ مَالَكَ بِمَالِهِ هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ مَوْصُولًا وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ قَدْ مَضَى ذِكْرُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْبُيُوعِ
[Machine] Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "May Allah have mercy on a man who provoked a slap on an orphan."
قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ رَحِمَ اللهُ رَجُلًا ائْتَجَرَ عَلَى يَتِيمٍ بِلَطْمَةٍ
إِنِّي لَأَضْرِبُ أَحَدَهُمْ حَتَّى يَنْبَسِطَ
