The Prophet ﷺ said: When you put on (a garment) and when you perform ablution, you should begin with your right side. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4141)

أحمد:٨٦٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا لَبِسْتُمْ وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَابْدَءُوا بِأَيَامِنِكُمْ وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بِمَيَامِنِكُمْ

Beginning with the right side in dressing and wudu

abudawud:4141 – al-Nufaylī > Zuhayr > al-Aʿmash > Abī Ṣāliḥ > Abī Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When you put on clothing, and when you perform ablution, begin with your right sides."

أبو داود:٤١٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِذَا لَبِسْتُمْ، وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ، فَابْدَءُوا بِأَيَامِنِكُمْ»

ذِكْرُ الْأَمْرِ بِالتَّيَامُنِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ وَاللِّبَاسِ اقْتِدَاءً بِالْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ فِيهِ
