“Do not pray after ‘Asr unless you pray when the sun is still high.” Sufyan said: I do not know whether he meant in Makkah or anywhere close.

أحمد:١٠٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلا أَنْ تُصَلُّوا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَمَا أَدْرِي بِمَكَّةَ يَعْنِي أَوْ بِغَيْرِهَا
