“I asked the Prophet ﷺ: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is it tribalism if a man loves his people?’ He said: ‘No, rather tribalism is when a man helps his people to do wrong.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3949)  

الطبراني:١٩٢٤٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ أَبُو خِدَاشٍ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الشَّامِيُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهَا فُسَيْلَةُ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمِنَ الْعَصَبِيَّةِ أَنْ يُحِبَّ الرَّجُلُ قَوْمَهُ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنْ مِنَ الْعَصَبِيَّةِ أَنْ يُعِينَ الرَّجُلُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الظُّلْمِ»
