شَبِيبُ بْنُ غَرْقَدة، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ

tabarani:14541 – Bishr b. Mūsá > al-Ḥumaydī > Sufyān > Shabīb b. Gharqadh > al-Ḥay Yuḥaddithūnah > ʿUrwah b. Abū al-Jaʿd al-Bāriqī

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him a dinar to buy a sacrificial animal with it. 'Urwa said: "So I bought two sheep with it, then I sold one of them for a dinar and a sheep." He (the Prophet) prayed for blessings for me in the transaction. And whenever he used to trade, he would profit from it.  

الطبراني:١٤٥٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ثَنَا شَبِيبُ بْنُ غَرْقَدة أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْحَيَّ يُحَدِّثُونَهُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْبَارِقِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُ دِينَارًا لِيَشْتَرِيَ لَهُ بِهِ أُضْحِيَّةً قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَاشْتَرَيْتُ لَهُ بِهِ شَاتَيْنِ فَبِعْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا بِدِينَارٍ وَشَاةٍ «فَدَعَا لِي بِالْبَرَكَةِ فِي الْبَيْعِ» وَكَانَ إِذَا اشْتَرَى التُّرَابَ رَبِحَ فِيهِ

The Prophet ﷺ gave him a dinar to buy a sacrificial animal or a sheep. He bought two sheep, sold one of them for a dinar, and brought him a sheep and dinar. So he invoked a blessing on him in his business dealing, and he was such that if had he bought dust he would have made a profit from it.  

أبو داود:٣٣٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَىُّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْبَارِقِيِّ قَالَ

أَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دِينَارًا يَشْتَرِي بِهِ أُضْحِيَةً أَوْ شَاةً فَاشْتَرَى شَاتَيْنِ فَبَاعَ إِحْدَاهُمَا بِدِينَارٍ فَأَتَاهُ بِشَاةٍ وَدِينَارٍ فَدَعَا لَهُ بِالْبَرَكَةِ فِي بَيْعِهِ فَكَانَ لَوِ اشْتَرَى تُرَابًا لَرَبِحَ فِيهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent with him a dinar to buy a sacrificial animal. He once said a sheep, so he bought two. He sold one for a dinar and brought the other to him. He invoked blessings for him in his sale. If he had bought dirt, he would have made profit from it.  

أحمد:١٩٣٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ شَبِيبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْحَيَّ يُخْبِرُونَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ

" عَنْ عُرْوَةَ البَارِقىِّ أَنَّ النَّبىَّ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُ دِينَارًا يَشْتَرِى لَهُ شَاتَيْن، فَبَاعَ إحْدَاهُمَا بِدِينَارٍ وَأَتَى النَّبِىَّ ﷺ بِدينَارٍ وَشَاةٍ، فَدَعَا لَهُ النَّبِى ﷺ بِالبركةِ في بَيْعِهِ فَكَان لَوِ اشْتَرَى تُرَابًا يَرْبَحُ فِيهِ".
