[Machine] My father came to us, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and said, "Verily, Allah has commended you in regards to purification, O people of Quba. Will you not inform me?" So we said, "O Messenger of Allah, upon us in the Torah is the use of water for istinja."

أَبِي قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قَدْ أَثْنَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الطَّهُورِ خَيْرًا يَا أَهْلَ قُبَاءَ أَفَلَا تُخْبِرُونِي؟» فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلَيْنَا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ الِاسْتِنْجَاءُ بِالْمَاءِ

"عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْد الله بْنِ سَلَامٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبِى: قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ الله: بَأَهْلَ قُبَاءَ: إِنَّ الله قَدْ أَثْنَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِى الطُّهُورِ خَيْرًا، فَأَخْبِرُونِى، قُلنَا: يَا رَسُولَ الله! نَجِدُ عَلَينَا فِى التَّوْرَاةِ الاسْتِنْجَاءَ بِالْمَاءِ".

"أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِى بَيْتنَا فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى قَدْ أثْنَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِى الطهُورِ أَفَلَا تُخْبِرُونِي قَوْلَهُ {فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا} قَالُوا: إِنَّا نَجِدُهُ مَكْتُوبًا عَلَيْنَا فِى التَّوْرَاةِ".
