[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says 'There is no deity but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things capable' is like freeing four souls from among the descendants of Isma'il."
"Qul Huwa Allahu ahad [Say: He is Allah, (the) One] is equivalent to one third of the Quran." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3787)
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "Say: He is Allah, [who is] one, Allah is the one-third of the Quran."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Can any of you not read one third of the Quran in a night?" We were afraid that he would command us to do something we couldn't do, so we remained silent. He then repeated, "Can any of you not read one third of the Quran in a night?" We were still afraid and remained silent. He repeated again, "Can any of you not read one third of the Quran in a night?" For surely, whoever recites Surah Al-Ikhlas (112) in a night, Allah, the One and Only, will reward him as if he has recited one third of the Quran in that night.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Can any of you not recite one-third of the Quran in one night?" We remained silent, so he repeated it three times and then said, "Whoever recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One' (Surah Al-Ikhlas) in one night, has indeed recited one-third of the Quran."

[Machine] "Do you not hear of the good that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought? They said, 'How much good did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bring?' He said, 'Whoever recites one-third of the Qur'an in a night?' So we felt timid and remained silent. He repeated it three times and said, 'Whoever recites "Say, He is Allah, [who is] One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas) is as if he recited one-third of the Qur'an.'"

A band of rebels would kill ʿAmmar. (Using translation from Muslim 2916c)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray four units before noon prayer, when the sun starts to decline. So I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is this prayer?" He said, "Indeed, the gates of heaven are opened when the sun starts to decline, until the noon prayer is performed. And I love for a righteous deed to be lifted to me in these units of prayer."
[Machine] From Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari, in the four prayers before noon, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is this prayer that you observe when the sun is about to set?" He said, "O Abu Ayoub, indeed the gates of heaven are opened when the sun sets, so do not close the gates of heaven until the noon prayer is performed." I asked, "Does he recite in them?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Does he make a separation between them with peace?" He said, "No."
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me, I saw him performing four units of prayer before noon, and he said, "When the sun sets, the gates of heaven are opened, and no gate is closed until the noon prayer is performed. I love for good to be raised for me during that time."

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are these four units of prayer?" He said, "These are the hours in which the gates of heaven are opened and do not close until Dhuhr prayer is performed, so I prefer to perform them earlier."
[Machine] He used to pray four units before Dhuhr prayer, so he was asked, and he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying it, so I asked him, and he said, 'Indeed, it is a time when the gates of the heavens are opened, and I love to have a righteous deed raised for me in it.'"
[Machine] He used to pray four (rak'ahs) before Dhuhr (noon prayer). It was said to him, "What is this prayer?" He said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying it, so I asked him, and he said, 'Indeed, it is an hour during which the doors of heaven are opened, and I love for a righteous deed to be raised for me in it.'"

[Machine] "I saw Abu Ayoub take off his shoes, so they looked at him and he said, 'Indeed, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over them but I have been made to love performing ablution.'"

[Machine] I saw Abu Ayyub taking off his socks, so they looked at him. He said, "Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over them, but I have been inclined towards performing ablution."
[Machine] Abu Ayub al-Ansari attacked the land of the Romans. When fighting became difficult, he said, "If I die, carry me with you. When you encounter the enemy, bury me beneath your feet. For I am telling you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah. If it weren't for my current state, I wouldn't have told you about it. I heard the Messenger of Allah saying, 'Whoever dies while testifying that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.'
[Machine] About some of their elders, they said, "We were with Abu Ayyub in the land of the Romans when he fell ill, so he instructed us to carry him until we reached the enemy and then bury him under your feet. Then he said, 'I will tell you a narrative, had it not been for my current condition, I would not have informed you of it. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.'"

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Fatimah, "Did you not know that Allah looked at the people of the earth and chose your father, so He sent him as a prophet? Then He looked again and chose your husband, so I received revelation and married him, and took him as my successor?"

[Machine] We came to Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari while he was taking care of his horses in Basanba. We said to him, "Abu Ayyub, you fought the pagans with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and now you are fighting against Muslims?" He said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to fight against three groups: those who break their oaths, those who commit injustice, and those who rebel. So I fought against those who break their oaths and those who commit injustice, and with the permission of Allah, I will fight against the rebels in the valleys, on the roads, and by the rivers. But I do not know who they are.”

[Machine] We were sitting with Ali when a group of Ansar riders wearing turbans approached. They greeted Ali, saying "Peace be upon you, O our leader." Ali replied, "I am your leader and you are Arab people, right?" They said, "Yes, we have heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, 'Whoever I am his leader, Ali is his leader. O Allah, be a supporter to those who support him and an enemy to those who oppose him.'" This is Abu Ayyub among us. Then Abu Ayyub removed his turban from his face and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever I am his leader, Ali is his leader. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you goes to the toilet, let him cleanse himself with three stones, for indeed that is sufficient."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said while we were in Al-Medina, "I have been informed about the army of Abu Sufyan that it is approaching. Would you like us to go out to face this army in the hope that Allah may bless us with its spoils?" We replied, "Yes." So, the Prophet and we went out. After we had traveled for a day or two, he asked us, "What do you see concerning the enemy? Has news of your departure spread among them?" We replied, "No, by Allah, they do not know of our departure, nor do we have the strength to fight them. We only desire to gain the spoils." The Prophet then asked, "What do you see concerning fighting the enemy?" We replied, "The same as you, O Messenger of Allah." Al-Miqdad ibn Amr then said, "Then we should not say to you what the people of Moses said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are sitting right here.'" So, we wished that we had said what Al-Miqdad said, even if it meant not having great wealth. Then, Allah, the Exalted, sent down (two verses) on His Messenger: 'As your Lord brought you forth from your house in truth, while a party among the believers were averse to it in dispute with you after the truth had become clear, as if they were being driven to death while they were looking on' (Quran 8:5-6). And Allah revealed, 'Indeed, I am with you, so respond to those who have believed and have trust in me. I shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike above their necks and strike all their finger joints' (Quran 8:12). And He also revealed, 'And when Allah promised you one of the two groups (of enemies) that it would be yours and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours' (Quran 8:7). The "group" referred to the enemy, while "the unarmed one" referred to the spoils of war. When we were thus promised victory over one of the two groups (of enemies), either the enemy or the spoils, it pleased us. Then, the Messenger of Allah sent a man to scout the enemy's position. He came back saying, "I saw them as blackness and I do not know." The Messenger of Allah said, "They are they, so come, let us go and meet them." So, we proceeded and found ourselves to be 313 men. The Messenger of Allah informed us of our number, so Allah blessed us with that. Then, he praised Allah and said, 'The number of soldiers for the campaign of Talut were just like this.' Then, we met the enemy and the front rows of our army attacked the front rows of theirs. The Messenger of Allah looked at them and said, 'Fight with me, fight with me!' Then the Messenger of Allah recited, 'O Allah, I ask You for Your Promise.' Ibn Rawaha said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I want to direct you by gestures.' The Messenger of Allah is the best of those who can be directed by gestures. Allah is greater than to be asked for His Promise and then abandoned. So, he took a handful of soil and tossed it into the faces of the enemy. They turned their backs and fled. Allah then revealed, 'It was not you who threw, when you threw, but it was Allah who threw' (Quran 8:17). So, we killed and captured and among those captured was the wife of Abu Sufyan. Umar said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I do not think that you should have captives until we cut our enemies down, because they might submit to their religion out of compassion for them.' The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , refrained from doing so. Then, the Messenger of Allah fell asleep and then woke up and said, 'Invoke Allah's blessings upon Umar.' So, he was invoked blessings upon. The Messenger of Allah said, 'Verily, Allah, the Exalted, has revealed: 'It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he has fought against the enemies in the land. You desire the fleeting goods of this worldly life, while Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah is Mighty and Wise' (Quran 8:67)'.

[Machine] We said secretly to each other from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that our wealth has been lost. If we were to start using it, then Allah would reveal in His book what we were thinking (And spend for the sake of Allah and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction) in taking care of our wealth, repairing it, and leaving behind jihad and spending in the way of Allah.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us and said, "How excellent are those who make takhallul!" We asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is takhallul?" He replied, "Those who make takhallul while performing ablution, and those who make takhallul from food. As for the takhallul of ablution, it is rinsing the mouth, sniffing water into the nose, and passing the wet fingers through the beard. And as for the takhallul of food, it is to remove food particles from the teeth. Indeed, there is nothing more bothersome to the angels than to see these particles between the teeth of a person while he stands in prayer."

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have a cousin who never stops committing sins." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is his religion?" The man replied, "He prays and believes in the oneness of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Advise him to fear Allah and abandon his sins, and if he refuses, then distance yourself from him." The man requested that from his cousin, but he refused. So, he came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about the matter. The Prophet ﷺ said, "I found him to be stubborn in his religion." Then Allah (swt) revealed the verse in the Quran, "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills."

[Machine] Whenever our food was ready, we would send it to Abu Ayoub and to the people on his ship. Abu Ayoub came and said, "You invited me while I am fasting, so it is my duty to respond to you. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A Muslim has six obligations towards his fellow Muslim: when he calls him, he should respond; when he meets him, he should greet him; when he sneezes, he should say to him, "Yarhamuk Allah" (may Allah have mercy on you); when he falls ill, he should visit him; when he dies, he should follow his funeral; and when he seeks his advice, he should give him sincere advice.'" My father said, "Among us there was a man who liked to joke. We had a man who used to support us financially, so the joker would say to the one who was eating behind him, 'May Allah reward you with good and righteousness.' When he heard this a few times, he got angry and abused him. The joker said to Abu Ayoub, 'O Abu Ayoub, what do you think of a man who gets angry and abuses me when I say to him, "May Allah reward you with good and righteousness?" Abu Ayoub replied, 'We used to say that if good does not reform him, then evil will. So I changed it for him. When the man came, the joker said to him, 'May Allah reward you with evil and hardship.' The man laughed and was pleased and said, 'You do not leave your jokes in any situation.' The joker said, 'May Allah reward Abu Ayoub with good and righteousness.' He said this to me."
