عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ

Abū Bakr al-Muqaddamī > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad al-ʿAmmī > Manṣūr > Ribʿī b. Ḥirāsh > ʿAmr b. Maymūn > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > Āmraʾah from al-Anṣār > Abū Ayyūb Atāhum

[Machine] "Do you not hear of the good that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought? They said, 'How much good did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bring?' He said, 'Whoever recites one-third of the Qur'an in a night?' So we felt timid and remained silent. He repeated it three times and said, 'Whoever recites "Say, He is Allah, [who is] One" (Surah Al-Ikhlas) is as if he recited one-third of the Qur'an.'"  

الطبراني:٤٠٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ أَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ

أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ؟ قَالُوا وَكَمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ قَدْ جَاءَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ يَقْرَأُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِثُلُثِ الْقُرْآنِ؟» فَأَشْفَقْنَا مِنْهَا فَسَكَتْنَا فَأَعَادَهَا عَلَيْنَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ قُلْ هُوَ أَحَدٌ فَكَأَنَّمَا تَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Can any of you not recite one-third of the Quran in one night?" We remained silent, so he repeated it three times and then said, "Whoever recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One' (Surah Al-Ikhlas) in one night, has indeed recited one-third of the Quran."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِثُلُثِ الْقُرْآنِ؟» فَسَكَتْنَا فَقَالَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَسَكَتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فَقَدْ قَرَأَ بِثُلُثِ الْقُرْآنِ»
