[Machine] While we were walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , the people asked him, "Which actions are the best, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Belief in Allah and His Messenger, striving in the cause of Allah, and performing the accepted Hajj." Then, he heard a call in the valley saying, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I also bear witness, and whoever bears witness to it shall be saved from polytheism." The wording of the hadith is from Ahmad ibn Salih.
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ in the presence of some of his companions when Uthman ibn Affan came with a camel carrying two sacks, and he was holding the reins of his camel. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What is in these two sacks?" He replied, "They contain fine flour, fat, and honey." The Prophet ﷺ then said to him, "Unpack it." So, Uthman unpacked the sacks and the Prophet ﷺ called for a bowl, and he put some of the flour, fat, and honey into it, then he ate from it. He then said to his companions, "Eat from what is called Farris al-Khabeeth."

[Machine] Zaid bin Sa'na went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day from the chambers, and with him was Ali bin Abi Talib. Then a man came to him riding a camel like a Bedouin, and he said: "O Messenger of Allah, the people of the village of Banu Fulan have embraced Islam and entered into Islam, and I have told them that if they embrace Islam, provision will come to them in abundance. However, they have been afflicted with a year of drought, hardship, and scarcity of rain. So, I fear, O Messenger of Allah, that they will leave Islam out of greed just as they entered it out of greed. If you see fit to send something to them that will help them, then do so." Then the Messenger of Allah glanced at a man beside him, whom I think was Ali, and said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, there is nothing left of it." So, Zaid bin Sa'na approached him and said: "O Muhammad, can you sell me some dates for a known time in the wall of Banu Fulan for such and such a period?" He responded: "No, O Jew, but I will sell you some dates for a known time for such and such a period, and do not mention the wall of Banu Fulan." So, I said, "Yes," then he took my hand and I abandoned what I was doing. I gave him eighty mithqals of gold in known dates for such and such a period, and the man accepted them and said: "Do justice to them and announce it to them." Zaid bin Sa'na said: "So, when two or three days remained before the appointed time, the Messenger of Allah went out and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman came out with him in a group of his companions. So, when he finished the funeral prayer, and came close to a wall to sit down, I went to him and took hold of the edges of his shirt and his cloak, and I looked at him with a stern face. I said to him, "Will you not fulfill my right, O Muhammad? By Allah, I know your clan, the Banu Abd al-Muttalib, very well. Rather, I have known you through my association with you. I looked at Umar, and his eyes were rolling in his head like a revolving wheel. Then he cast a quick glance at me with his eye and said: "O enemy of Allah! Do you say to the Messenger of Allah what I hear and do what I see? By the One Who sent him with the truth, had I not feared that I would miss out on something, I would have struck you on the head with this sword of mine." The Messenger of Allah remained silent, looking at Umar calmly and with a sweet smile on his face. Then he said: "O Umar, he and I were in more need of something other than this. You should have commanded me to do well, and commanded him to follow well. O Umar, go to him and give him his right, and add twenty sa's of dates to the place where they were kept." Zaid said: "So Umar went with me and gave me my right and added twenty sa's of dates to the place where they were kept. I said: "What is this increase, O Umar?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah has ordered me to increase it to the place where it was kept." I asked him, "Do you know me, O Umar?" He said, "No." I said, "What led you to treat the Messenger of Allah as you did?" He asked, "O Umar, whenever something occurred to him from among the signs of Prophethood, I recognized it in his face when I looked at it, except for two signs that I did not tell him about which his forbearance outweighed his ignorance, nor would an increase in his ignorance cause his forbearance to decrease. I have informed him of both of them, and I bear witness to you, O Umar, that I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad as my Prophet. And I bear witness to you that half of my wealth, even though most of it comes in the form of charity given to the Ummah of Muhammad." Umar said, "Or to some of them, for it is not suitable for all of them." I said, "Or to some of them." So Umar and Zaid returned to the Messenger of Allah, and Zaid said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. I believed in him, confirmed him, followed him, and witnessed many things with him." Then he died

[Machine] "For the Jewish scholars, I am a visitor to the mosque of our father Ibrahim and Ismail, making a covenant. I went to the messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in Makkah, and I met him when he had just finished performing Hajj. The messenger of Allah ﷺ found me in Mina with the people, and I stood among them. When the messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at me, he said, 'Are you Abdullah ibn Salam?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Come closer.' So, I approached him. He asked, 'By Allah, I ask you, O Abdullah ibn Salam, do you find me in the Torah as the messenger of Allah?' I said, 'Our Lord, describe him.' He said, 'Then Jibril came to him until he stood in front of the messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he recited to him, "Say: He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent."' Then the messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it to us. Ibn Salam said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you are the messenger of Allah.' Then he went to Madinah and kept his Islam hidden. When the messenger of Allah ﷺ migrated to Madinah, I was on top of a palm tree, and I heard a noise in the city. I said, 'What is this?' They said, 'It is the messenger of Allah who has arrived.' So, I threw myself down from the top of the palm tree and then I approached him and greeted him. Then I went back, and my mother said, 'By Allah, if Musa ibn Imran (Moses) was here, he would not have thrown himself down from the top of the palm tree like that.' I said, 'By Allah, I went down because I am eager for the arrival of the messenger of Allah ﷺ, just as Musa ibn Imran was sent.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon and said, "What is the matter with any of you if he were to have two garments, one for the gathering and another for his work attire?"
[Machine] We asked, "O Messenger of Allah, are we better or those who came after us?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of them had the equivalent of a mountain of gold that he spends in the cause of Allah, it would not reach the level of one of you or even half of it."
[Machine] "We used to be with the Prophet, and when he spoke, he would raise his head towards the sky."
«كُنَّا نَكُونُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ فَإِذَا حَدَّثَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ»
[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ he said, 'There is no prayer for someone who keeps turning around.'"
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There is no prayer for someone who turns around."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have read the Quran, the Torah, and the Gospel." He said, "Read this (referring to the Quran) one night and with this (also referring to the Quran) another night."
[Machine] He (al-Hajjaj) said to Abdullah bin Salam, "Your father, do you know a narration that your father, Abdullah bin Salam, narrated from your grandfather, Abdulah bin Salam, from his father, Abdullah bin Salam?" He (Abdullah bin Salam) said, "And what narration may Allah have mercy upon you?" (meaning what specific narration are you referring to). He (al-Hajjaj) said, "The narration of the Egyptians when they came to Uthman." He (Abdullah bin Salam) said, "I knew that narration already." So, Abdullah bin Salam went towards Uthman while he was confined. He (Abdullah) greeted him and Uthman said, "Peace be upon you, O Amir al-Mu'minin." Abdullah bin Salam said, "And upon you be peace. What brings you, O Abdullah bin Salam?" Abdullah bin Salam said, "I came to confirm (the truth) until I bear witness or Allah opens it (the truth) for you. And I do not know about these people except that they are your enemies. If they kill you, then that is good for you and evil for them." Uthman said to him, "I ask you, by the right that I have upon you, what did you intend when you went to them? Did Allah distance you with goodness or confront you with evil?" Abdullah bin Salam heard and obeyed and went to them. When they saw him, they gathered and thought that he had come with some news that favored their desires. So, he stood up and praised Allah and commended him. Then he said, "As for what follows, indeed, Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner who gives glad tidings of Paradise to those who obey him and warns of the Fire for those who disobey him. And he made clear to his followers the whole religion, even if the polytheists detest it. Then, Allah chose the best dwelling for him, and he chose the city (of Madinah) and made it the abode of emigration and the abode of faith. And by Allah, the angels have been surrounding this city since the Messenger of Allah ﷺ first arrived, and by Allah, the sword of Allah has remained unsheathed against you since the Messenger of Allah ﷺ first arrived until this day." Then he said, "Indeed, Allah sent Muhammad with the truth, so whoever follows him is guided by Allah's guidance, and whoever goes astray after clear proofs and evidence, then he has indeed strayed and deviated. And know that no prophet was killed, except that seventy thousand fighters were also killed along with him. And no caliph was ever killed, except that thirty-five thousand fighters were also killed along with him. So, do not hasten to kill this noble Sheikh, for by Allah, none of you will kill him except that he will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection with a severed and disabled hand. Know that a parent has no rightful claim over a child except like the right that this Sheikh has over you." He (Abdullah bin Salam) said, "So, they stood up and said, 'The Jews are lying! The Jews are lying!' He (Abdullah bin Salam) said, 'No, by Allah, you are the liars, and I am not from the Jews. Indeed, I am a Muslim.' Allah knows best about it, as does His Messenger and the believers. And it was revealed in the Qur'an concerning me the verse: 'Say: Sufficient is Allah as witness between me and you, and [also] between the knowledge of the Scripture [within me] and you.' [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us in the mosque that was established on Taqwa, the Quba Mosque, and he stood at its door and said, "Indeed, Allah has praised you for your cleanliness. So, what is your way of purifying yourselves?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people of scripts (meaning we have access to written knowledge) and we find it necessary to perform istinja (cleaning after using the restroom) with water. We do it today." So he said, "Indeed, Allah has praised you for your cleanliness," and he recited, "In it (the mosque) are men who love to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who purify themselves."

[Machine] I entered the mosque of Al-Madina, and a man came and performed two units of prayer. He excelled in them with a mark of humility. A man said, "Whoever wishes to see a man from the people of Paradise, let him look at this man." So, I followed him and informed him of what was said. He said, "SubhanAllah! It is not appropriate for anyone to say what he does not know. Shall I inform you why? I had a dream, and I narrated it to the Prophet ﷺ. I saw as if I were in a garden, and I mentioned its width, beauty, and greenery. In the middle of it stood a pillar made of iron, with its bottom on the ground and its top in the sky. At its head was a rope. He (the Prophet) said to me, 'Climb up.' I said, 'I cannot.' Then, a pulpit approached me, and he said, 'Hold onto my clothes.' So, I held onto it, and I woke up, and indeed it was in my hands. I narrated the dream to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'The garden represents Islam, the pillar is the pillar of Islam, and the rope is the firmest bond, so you are upon Islam.' Therefore, behold! It is Abdullah Ibn Salam."

Suddenly, I found myself on the edge of the mountain, without feeling any fear or lose my balance. Then, I saw a golden pillar at its highest point. He held my hand and shook me until I grabbed the pillar. I narrated this story to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, 'You have seen good. As for the great journey, it is the Day of Resurrection. As for the path that appeared to you on your left, it is the path of the people of Hell, and you are not from its people. As for the path that appeared to you on your right, it is the path of the people of Paradise, and you are from its people. As for the slippery mountain, it is the place of martyrs. [Machine] If a man from the people of Paradise could be seen, then let him look at this. I said, "By Allah, I will definitely follow him and take note of where his house is." He said, "Then I followed him until he almost left the city. Then he entered his house and I sought permission to enter, and he allowed me. He said, "What is your need, O nephew?" I said, "I heard people say that when you stood, it pleased them to look at a man from the people of Paradise, so let them look at this." I was amazed at being with him. He said, "Only Allah knows the people of Paradise, and shall I inform you who says that? While I was sleeping, someone came to me and said, "Get up." Then he took me by the hand and I went with him. Suddenly, I found myself on a white horse on my left. I went to take it, and he said to me, "Take it. It is the mount of the people of the left." Then I found a horse on my right, and he said to me, "Take it. It is the mount of the people of the right." We came to a mountain, and he said, "Climb up." Whenever I wanted to climb up, I slid down onto my people. I did that repeatedly until he took hold of me, threw me forward, and I found myself clinging to the ring of the opening of the Heaven. The pillar was in the sky, and its base was on the ground. He said to me, 'Climb up.' I said, 'How can I climb up when my head is in the sky?' So he took hold of my hand and pulled me up until I was suspended by the ring, and the pillar was removed, and it fell down. Then he left me until the morning, and I came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him what had happened to me, and I described it to him. He said, 'As for the paths that you saw on your left and right, they are the paths of the people of the left and right. As for the mountain, it is the abode of the martyrs, and you will not attain it. As for the pillar, it is the pillar of Islam, and as for the rope, it is the rope of Islam, and it will continue to cling to it until you die.' Then he said to me, 'Do you know how Allah created creation?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Allah created Adam. Then He said to him, 'Tell,' and Adam told. Then He said to him, 'Tell these.' And he told them. And his allotted life span and his deeds and his provision were determined. And he said, 'Then it is blown into him the soul..."

[Machine] We find the description of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, as a witness, bearer of glad tidings, warner, and a protector for the unlettered people. You are His servant and His Messenger. He named you as the one who relies on Allah. You are not rude, nor harsh, nor do you shout in the markets. You do not respond to evil with its equal, but instead you forgive, overlook, and pardon. I will not take away your life until I establish the crooked religion by making them bear witness that there is no god but Allah. Through this, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, and the sealed hearts will be opened.” Atta bin Yasar said, and Abu Waqid Al-Laithi informed me, that he heard Ka'b Al-Ahbar say the same thing that Ibn Salam said.
