[Machine] And he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "No slave leads a group in prayer except that he takes upon himself their responsibility in their prayer. If he performs it well, it is for him and for them. And if he does evil, it is on him and not on them."
[Machine] Abu Ali Al-Hamdani told me, while he was in Alexandria, that he went on a journey and Uqbah bin Amer was with them. We said to him, "Will you be our leader?" He said, "I am not one to do that, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever leads the people in prayer and does it at the proper time and completes it, then the reward is for him and for them. And whoever detracts anything from that, then it is upon him and not upon them.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the pulpit saying, "Prepare for them whatever power you are able." Know that the power is in archery, know that the power is in archery.

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Lands shall be thrown open to you and Allah will suffice you (against your enemies), but none of you should give up playing with his arrows. (Using translation from Muslim 1918a)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you see Allah giving the servant what he loves while he remains steadfast in his sins, then surely that is Allah luring him in. Then He recited this verse, 'So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair. So the people that committed wrong were cut off. Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!'"
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا رَأَيْتَ اللهَ يُعْطِي الْعَبْدَ مَا يُحِبُّ وَهُوَ مُقِيمٌ عَلَى مَعَاصِيهِ فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ لَهُ مِنْهُ اسْتِدْرَاجٌ» ثُمَّ نَزَعَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْلِسُونَ فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ}
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of Tabuk. I approached the Prophet ﷺ while he was talking to his companions, and he said, "Whoever performs ablution and then offers two units of prayer, perfecting the ablution, his sins will be forgiven and it will be as if he was born on the day his mother gave birth to him." I said, "Praise be to Allah, who has granted me the opportunity to hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever performs ablution and completes its perfection, then raises his head towards the sky and says: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger,' eight doors of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter through whichever of them he wishes."

[Machine] The care of camels was entrusted to me, so I took care of them until evening. I then encountered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing and addressing the people. I heard him say, "Whoever among you performs ablution and does it perfectly, then stands and prays two Rak'ahs, focusing his face and heart towards them, will have Paradise guaranteed for him."

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the one who recites the Quran fluently is like the one who gives charity secretly, and the one who recites the Quran loudly is like the one who gives charity openly."
[Machine] "I used to ride with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his camel during travel. He said, 'O Ukba, shall I teach you the two best Surahs to recite?' I said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please teach me.' He taught me and said, 'Say, I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind and say, I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak.' When he recited them to me, I was amazed by them. Then, when he descended for Fajr prayer, he recited them for the people. After he finished his prayer, he turned to me and said, 'O Ukba, how did you find them?'"
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : "Whoever fasts for a day in the cause of Allah, Allah will keep Hellfire away from him a distance of a hundred years of travel."
[Machine] Uqbah bin Amir, who was the companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and had the gray camel that he used to ride during journeys, said: "I was riding with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was on his riding animal, Rotwah, in the middle of the night. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Get off.' So, I got off the riding animal. Then, he said, 'Ride, O Uqbah.' So, I said, 'Glory be to Allah! I ride with you?' He commanded me and said, 'Ride.' So, I repeated saying the same thing and hesitated several times until I feared disobeying the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So, I rode his riding animal. Then, he urged his she-camel and she stood up. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me from a distance using a small opening in his veil and said, 'O Uqbah, shall I teach you two surahs from the Qur'an that are the best of the Qur'an or among the best?' I said, 'Yes, by my father and mother, please teach me.' So, he taught me the Mu'awwidhatain. Then, he said, 'O Uqbah, when you see the dawn, inform me.' So, when I saw the dawn, I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this is the dawn.' Then, I dismounted his riding animal and performed ablution. Then, he stood up for prayer and took my hand and placed me on his right side and recited those two surahs in the Fajr prayer. Then, he turned towards me and said, 'O Uqbah, recite them every time you stand and every time you go to bed.'"

[Machine] I came with twelve passengers until we shaded the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He said, "My companions, (some of you) take care of our camels while we depart and learn from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So, when we left, we took from what we heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I did that for some days, then I thought within myself and said, "Perhaps I am missing out on what my companions are hearing and learning from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ ." One day, I was present and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs a complete ablution and then stands for his prayer, he will have his sins forgiven as if he was born on that day."

One of them is when a person says, 'Ghayrallah' and the other is when he says, 'Ajwal Allah.' As regards the garment, it is to wear a long one dragging on the ground and the proud people take pride in it and Allah will not look at them (i.e., on the Day of Resurrection)."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah can admit a person into heaven with just one arrow. Its maker will have good intentions in making it, the one who shoots it, and the one who guides it." He also said, "Throw and ride, and I prefer that you throw rather than ride. Everything that a person engages in for amusement is futile, except for his training with his horse, shooting arrows with his bow, and interacting with his spouse."
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Allah, Most High, will cause three persons to enter Paradise for one arrow: the maker when he has a good motive in making it, the one who shoots it, and the one who hands it; so shoot and ride, but your shooting is dearer to me than your riding. Everything with which a man amuses himself is vain except three (things): a man's training of his horse, his playing with his wife, and his shooting with his bow and arrow. If anyone abandons archery after becoming an adept through distaste for it, it is a blessing he has abandoned; or he said: for which he has been ungrateful. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2513)

So I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ alone and people had gathered around him. So I said to my companion, "Cover me until I sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and listen to him." So I went to him and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever performs ablution and perfects its performance, then prays two Rak'ahs [units of prayer] in which he devotes himself solely to Allah, then nothing will distract him [in his prayer], all his sins will leave him just as he was born from his mother."
