[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one killed in defense of his wealth is a martyr, the one killed in defense of his family is a martyr, and the one killed in defense of himself is a martyr."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Improve your voices when reciting the Quran."
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ combined Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers in Madinah without any reason. Ibn Abbas was asked about the purpose of this, and he said, 'To make it easier for his Ummah.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Today is the betting, tomorrow is the race, and the ultimate prize is either Paradise or Hell. I am the first, Abu Bakr is the one who prays, and Umar is the third. After that, the people will be in accordance with the first."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, when was your covenant taken?" He said, "Between the spirit and the body, Adam was taken."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one has ever shown me such loyalty as Abu Bakr did, he married me to his daughter and brought me to the house of Hijra. If I were to take a close friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr as my close friend, but it is the bond of brotherhood and friendship until the Day of Judgment."
[Machine] Abu Malik Al-Junbi narrated from Juwaybir from Dahhak from Ibn Abbas who said: I used to ride behind the Prophet ﷺ on a donkey called Ya'foor and I started sweating, so he commanded me to perform ablution.
[Machine] Abu Malik al-Junbi narrated from Juwaybir from Dahhak from ibn Abbas, he said: "When the Prophet ﷺ received revelation from Gabriel, he would not be at ease until he was relieved of it and the Prophet ﷺ would speak of it first for fear of forgetting. So Gabriel asked him, 'Why do you do that?' He said, 'For fear of forgetting.' So Allah revealed (Quran 87:6) 'We shall make you recite, so you shall not forget.'"
ثنا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيُّ عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِالْوَحْيِ لَمْ يَفْرُغْ حَتَّى يُزَمَّلَ مِنَ الْوَحْيِ حَتَّى يَتَكَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَأَوَّلِهِ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ لِمَ تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «مَخَافَةَ أَنْ أَنْسَى» فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَى}
[Machine] Abu Malik Al-Jaunbi narrated that Jowbir narrated from Dahhak from Ibn Abbas who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah spoke privately to Musa with one hundred and forty thousand words in three days. When Musa heard the speech of the human beings, he disliked them for what he had of the speech of his Lord. And in what He spoke to him, Allah said: 'O Musa, the ascetics in the world have not adopted the same level of asceticism as they did for themselves. And the seekers near to Me have not drawn close to Me with the same level of wara (piety/avoidance of the forbidden) as you have from what has been forbidden for them. And those who worship have not worshipped Me with the same level of weeping out of fear of Me.' Musa said, 'O Lord of all creation, and Ruler on the Day of Judgment, and the Possessor of Magnificence and Generosity, what have You prepared for them, and how have You recompensed them?' Allah said, 'As for the ascetics in the world, indeed I have made My Paradise permissible for them, and they will take from it wherever they wish. And as for those who have wara from what I have forbidden for them, on the Day of Resurrection, there will not remain any servant except that I will argue with him of his account, and I will not argue with nor hold accountable those who have wara. Indeed, I am shy of them, I honor them, and I bring them into Paradise without any questioning. And as for those who weep out of fear of Me, they will have the loftiest and highest status that none will share with them."
[Machine] Abu Malik Al-Junbi narrated from Juwaybir from Dahhak from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one killed in the way of Allah will precede the one killed in retreat (from battle) to paradise by seventy autumns. And my Ummah will suffer from illnesses before their recovery by seventy autumns. And the prophets preceded Sulaiman ibn Dawud by forty autumns in terms of their dominion."
[Machine] Abu Malik Al-Junbi narrated from Juwaybir from Dahhak from Ibn Abbas who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman should not travel for a distance of three miles except with a guardian or a Mahram (close male relative)." Ibn Abbas was asked about people saying three days, he said, "It is just a misunderstanding from them."
[Machine] Abu Malik Al-Janbi narrated from Juwaybir from Dahhak from Ibn Abbas who said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed 'Ali as the flag-bearer on the day of Khaybar, he called for Hunayhah and said, "O Allah, assist him, honor him, have mercy on him, show mercy through him, grant him victory, and grant victory through him, O Allah. Befriend those who befriend him and oppose those who oppose him."
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ intended to go out for the expedition of Tabuk, he said to Jadd Ibn Qais, "O Jadd Ibn Qais, what do you say about fighting Bani Asfar (the yellow people)?" Jadd replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who has companionship with women, and whenever I see the women of Bani Asfar (the yellow people), I become tempted. Therefore, grant me permission to stay behind and do not include me in the expedition, so that I do not become tempted." Then Allah ﷻ revealed the verse {And among them are those who say, "Grant me permission [to be exempted from fighting] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, they have fallen into trial.}
لَمَّا أَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَى غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ قَالَ لِلْجَدِّ بْنِ قَيْسٍ «يَا جِدُّ بْنَ قَيْسٍ مَا تَقُولُ فِي مُجَاهَدَةِ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ؟» قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَاحِبُ نِسَاءٍ وَمَتَى أَرَى نِسَاءَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ أُفْتَتَنُ فَائْذَنْ لِي فِي الْجُلُوسِ وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي أَلَا فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا}
[Machine] In His saying "{Allah shall give them love}" He said, "Love in the hearts of the believers was revealed concerning Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah honor his face."

[Machine] "In his statement 'Indeed, they do not lie to you' there is an abbreviation, and he used to recite it as 'they cannot be denied as messengers or that the Quran is not a Quran, so either they deny you with their tongues, in which case they are denying you and that is a lie, or they deny you as liars."
[Machine] In his statement "{§لَا تَقُولُوا رَاعِنَا}", he said that they used to say to the Prophet ﷺ "Watch over us, we heard you" and they only watched over him, as he said "give us". "{وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ}" to the Prophet ﷺ. He said that they said "we didn't hear, but listen" to the Prophet ﷺ. He said "{وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانْظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ}" that if they had said "we heard, and obeyed, and listened, and observed", it would have been better for them.
فِي قَوْلِهِ {§لَا تَقُولُوا رَاعِنَا} قَالَ كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ ارْعَنَا سَمْعَكَ وَإِنَّمَا رَاعِنَا كَقَوْلِكِ عَاطِنَا {وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ} لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَا سَمِعْتَ وَاسْمَعْ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَا سَمِعْتَ قَالَ {وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانْظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ}
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , would send out a military expedition, they would distribute one-fifth of the booty. He would take a fifth of that fifth and recite the verse, "And know that whatever you obtain of war booty - indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it" until the phrase "to Allah." He would make the share of Allah and the share of the Messenger one. He would make these two shares a force in horses and weapons. He would not give anyone other than orphans, the poor, and travelers anything from these two shares. He would allocate two portions of the remaining four portions for the horse, one portion for its rider, and one portion for the foot soldier.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is a safety for my nation from drowning when they board ships to say, 'Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).' " {And they have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.} {In the name of Allah its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.}
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَمَانٌ لِأُمَّتِي مِنَ الْغَرَقِ إِذَا رَكِبُوا السُّفُنَ أَنْ يَقُولُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ الْمَلِكِ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ} {بِسْمِ اللهِ مُجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

[Machine] I asked Ibn Abbas, "What do you think about seclusion?" He said, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke about it, then it is as he said. If not, then I say, 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as you will.'" Whoever wants can isolate himself, and whoever wants can leave.

[Machine] "Two units, two units, the sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah hesitated on a verse during the Fajr prayer. When he completed the prayer, he faced the people and asked, "Did you witness the prayer with Ubayy ibn Ka'b?" They said, "No." He said, "Then he has gone missing to me so that he may open it to me."
[Machine] "The Aws and Khazraj tribes were at odds with each other during the time of ignorance. One day, while they were sitting together, they started mentioning the past disputes between them, which made them angry. Some of them even picked up weapons and got ready to fight. Then the following verse was revealed: 'And how is it that you disbelieve, while the verses of Allah are recited to you and among you is His Messenger?' The entire verse and the two verses that came after it, including 'And remember the favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together'."
«كَانَتِ الْأَوْسُ وَالْخَزْرَجُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ بَيْنَهُمْ شَرٌّ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَوْمًا جُلُوسٌ ذَكَرُوا مَا بَيْنَهُمْ حَتَّى غَضِبُوا فَقَامَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ بِالسِّلَاحِ» فَنَزَلَتْ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ} الْآيَةُ كُلُّهَا وَالْآيَتَانِ بَعْدَهَا إِلَى {وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ}
[Machine] Narrated by Ibn Abbas: "The tribe of Aws used to talk about the matters of ignorance and would become angry to the point of war among themselves. So they took up arms and some of them confronted others." Then the verse was revealed: "And how can you disbelieve while the verses of Allah are recited to you and among you is His Messenger? But whoever holds firmly to Allah has [indeed] been guided to a straight path." (Quran 3:101)
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ} قَالَ «كَانَ الْأَوْسُ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ إِذْ ذَكَرُوا أَمْرَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَغَضِبُوا حَتَّى كَانَ بَيْنَهُمْ حَرْبٌ فَأَخَذُوا السِّلَاحَ وَمَشَى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ» فَنَزَلَتْ {وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللهِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا}
[Machine] Ibn Abbas was asked, "How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ test women?" He replied, "When a woman came to him to give her oath of allegiance, he would ask her if she left her house out of dislike for her husband or to acquire money, and she should swear by Allah that she did not leave her house for any worldly gain. She should also swear by Allah that she did not leave her house out of desire to travel from one place to another.
