The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If anyone asks Allah for martyrdom sincerely, Allah will make him reach the ranks of martyrs even if he died on his bed.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ صَادِقًا بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ  

From his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever asks Allah for Martyrdom sincerely in his heart, Allah will grant the status of martyrdom for him, even if he were to die in his bed."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ صَادِقًا بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ  

That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever asks Allah to be killed in His cause sincerely from his heart, Allah shall give him the reward of martyrdom.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْقَتْلَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ صَادِقًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَ الشَّهِيدِ  

“Whoever asks Allah for martyrdom, sincerely from his heart, Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even if he dies in his bed.”  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If anyone asks Allah for martyrdom sincerely, Allah will make him reach the ranks of martyrs even if he died on his bed. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1520)   

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ صَادِقًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom in His cause and then dies, Allah will grant him the reward of a martyr" according to the condition of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.  

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْقَتْلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ صَادِقًا ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَ شَهِيدٍ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم  

"Whoever asks Allah, the mighty and Sublime, sincerely for martyrdom, Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even of he dies in his bed." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3162)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ»

"مَنْ سَأَلَ الله الشَّهَادَةَ (من قلبهِ صادقًا) بَلَّغَهُ الله مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وإنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ".
