"I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering only in the throat or upper chest?" He said: 'If you stab it in the thigh, that will suffice,"'(Daif)  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلاَّ فِي الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ قَالَ لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لأَجْزَأَكَ  

AbulUshara' reported on the authority of his father: He asked: Messenger of Allah, is the slaughtering to be done only in the upper part of the breast and the throat? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied: If you pierced its thigh, it would serve you. Abu Dawud said: This is the way suitable for slaughtering an animal which has fallen into a well or runs loose.  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلاَّ مِنَ اللَّبَّةِ أَوِ الْحَلْقِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لأَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ  

From his father that he said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Is there no slaughtering except upon the neck and the throat ?' He said: 'If you stab its thigh it would be accepted to you.'"  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلاَّ فِي الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ قَالَ لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لأَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ قَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ هَذَا فِي الضَّرُورَةِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ  

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, should slaughtering only be done in the throat or upper chest?’ He said: ‘If you stab it in the thigh that will suffice you.’”

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ؟ فَقَالَ «لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ» قَالَ حَمَّادٌ «حَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَى الْمُتَرَدِّي»  

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, should slaughtering only be done in the throat or upper chest?’ He said: ‘If you stab it in the thigh that will suffice you.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3184)   

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا يَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا مِنَ الْحَلْقِ أَوِ اللَّبَّةِ؟ قَالَ «لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَتْ عَنْكَ»  

"I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering only in the throat or upper chest?" He said: 'If you stab it in the thigh, that will suffice,"'(Daif) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4408)  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ أَوِ اللَّبَّةِ؟ قَالَ «لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَتْ عَنْكَ»  

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, should slaughtering only be done in the throat or upper chest?’ He said: ‘If you stab it in the thigh that will suffice you.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3184)   

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ؟ قَالَ «لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ»  

[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, can zakat be given only in the form of gold and silver?" He said, "By your father, if you were to stab it in its thigh, you would be absolved of it." The scholar said, "And this applies to similar items."
