malik:20-68 – Mālik > Suma a freed slave of Abū Bakr b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Abū Bakr b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman

Yahya related to me from Malik that Sumayy, the mawla of Abu Bakr ibn Abd ar-Rahman, heard Abu Bakribn Abd ar-Rahman say, "A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I had arranged to do hajj, but I was prevented,' and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do umra in Ramadan, for doing umra in it is like doing hajj.' "  

مالك:٢٠-٦٨ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

يَقُولُ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدْ كُنْتُ تَجَهَّزْتُ لِلْحَجِّ فَاعْتَرَضَ لِي فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ كَحِجَّةٍ

[Machine] I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a woman came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, in which months should I perform Umrah?" He said, "Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for verily Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."  

أحمد:١٧٦٠٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ الْأَوْدِيُّ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ هَرِمِ بْنِ خَنْبَشٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فِي أَيِّ الشُّهُورِ أَعْتَمِرُ؟ قَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

[Machine] She asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying, "I have prepared myself for Hajj, and it was presented to me." The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for 'Umrah during it is equivalent to Hajj."  

الطبراني:٢١٩٣٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ تَجَهَّزْتُ لِلْحَجِّ فَعَرَضَ لِي فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ كَحَجَّةٍ»
