"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep and he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution as for prayer."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep and he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution as for prayer."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
Whenever the Prophet ﷺ intended to sleep while he was Junub, he used to wash his private parts and perform ablution like that for the prayer.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهْوَ جُنُبٌ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ وَتَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلاَةِ
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to sleep after having sexual intercourse, he performed ablution as for the prayer before going to sleep.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sexual intercourse and intended to eat or sleep, he performed the ablution of prayer.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
"If the Prophet ﷺ" - (one of the narrators) 'Amr said: "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ" - "wanted to eat or sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu'." In his narration, 'Amr (one of the narrators) added: "Wudu' was for prayer."
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ زَادَ عَمْرٌو فِي حَدِيثِهِ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu' as for prayer before sleeping."
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ
when the prophet ﷺ intended to sleep while he was sexually defiled, he would perform ablution as he did for prayer.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
"If the Messenger of Allah wanted to eat when he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ
It was narrated from 'Aishah that if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat he would wash his hands. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 256)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ وَشَرِبَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ

[Machine] The translation of the passage is as follows: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to have sexual intercourse with any of his wives while she was menstruating, he ordered her to wrap herself in a cloth. And when he wanted to sleep while in a state of sexual impurity (after sexual intercourse), he would perform ablution for prayer."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ
"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep and he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution as for prayer." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 584)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to sleep, he would perform ablution for prayer, then he would sleep.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يَرْقُدُ
[Machine] She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution if he was in a state of impurity and wanted to sleep or eat.
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ تَوَضَّأَ
[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to have sexual intercourse with one of his wives while she was menstruating, he would command her to wrap herself with a cloth. And when he wanted to sleep while in a state of impurity (janabah), he would perform the ablution (wudu) for prayer."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep and he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution as for prayer." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 584)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ
"If the Messenger of Allah wanted to eat when he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 591)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ»
[Machine] I asked Aisha, "How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ act when he wanted to sleep while in a state of sexual impurity?" She said, "He would perform ablution as he does for prayer, then he would sleep."
سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ «يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يَنَامُ»
"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu' as for prayer before sleeping." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 258)
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to, when he wanted to sleep while in a state of major impurity, perform ablution for prayer. And when he wanted to eat, he would wash his hands and then eat.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَأْكُلُ»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[Machine] "To eat, sleep, or drink while in a state of impurity, one should perform ablution (wudu) for the purpose of prayer."
أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
[Machine] To eat, sleep, or drink while being in a state of major ritual impurity, one must perform ablution for the prayer.
أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat or drink," she said: "he would wash his hands and then eat or drink." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 257)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَيَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ»
When the Prophet (May peace be upon him) wanted to eat or sleep, he would perform ablution. She meant that (the prophet did so) when he was sexually defiled. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 224)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ»
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution or perform dry ablution (tayammum) when he was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) and wanted to sleep.

"إذَا أراد أحدُكم أن ينامَ وهو جُنُبٌ فليتوضأ وضوءَه للصّلاةِ".
"عن عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وهُوَ جُنُب تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ للِصَّلَاةِ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأَكُلَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ".
"عن عائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأَكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ يَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَه لِلصَّلَاةِ".
