أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

Whenever the Prophet ﷺ intended to sleep while he was Junub, he used to wash his private parts and perform ablution like that for the prayer.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهْوَ جُنُبٌ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ وَتَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلاَةِ
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to sleep after having sexual intercourse, he performed ablution as for the prayer before going to sleep.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sexual intercourse and intended to eat or sleep, he performed the ablution of prayer.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
when the prophet ﷺ intended to sleep while he was sexually defiled, he would perform ablution as he did for prayer.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
When the Prophet (May peace be upon him) wanted to eat or sleep, he would perform ablution. She meant that (the prophet did so) when he was sexually defiled.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ تَعْنِي وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ
"The Prophet permitted the Junub when he wanted to eat, drink, or sleep, to perform Wudu like the Wudu for Salat."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَخَّصَ لِلْجُنُبِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ أَوْ يَنَامَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
"If the Prophet ﷺ" - (one of the narrators) 'Amr said: "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ" - "wanted to eat or sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu'." In his narration, 'Amr (one of the narrators) added: "Wudu' was for prayer."
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ زَادَ عَمْرٌو فِي حَدِيثِهِ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
It was narrated from 'Aishah that if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat he would wash his hands.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ
"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat or drink," she said: "he would wash his hands and then eat or drink."

"O Messenger of Allah! May any one of us sleep while he is Junub?" He said: "When he performs Wudu'."
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
'Umar bin Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah: "can anyone of us sleep if he is sexually impure?" He said: "Yes, if he performs ablution."
لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَيَرْقُدُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ
"If the Messenger of Allah wanted to eat when he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ
"The Prophet was asked about whether a person who is sexually impure can sleep, or eat, or drink. He said: 'yes, if he does ablution as for the prayer.'"
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الْجُنُبِ هَلْ يَنَامُ أَوْ يَأْكُلُ أَوْ يَشْرَبُ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ
If the Prophet wanted to eat when he was sexually impure, he would wash his hands.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ»
I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what one of us should do if he becomes junub then wants to sleep before doing ghusl. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Let him do wudoo' as for prayer, then he may go to sleep.ʿ
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ أَحَدُنَا إِذَا هُوَ أَجْنَبَ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ
Can one of us sleep when he is junub? He said: “He may do wudoo’ and sleep if he wishes.” On one occasion Sufyan said: ʿLet him do wudoo’ and sleep.ʿ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَنَامُ إِنْ شَاءَ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً لِيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلْيَنَمْ
Can one of us sleep if he is junub? He said: ʿYes, if he does wudoo’ as for prayer.ʿ It was narrated from Ibn ʿUmar that ʿUmar asked the Prophet ﷺ... a similar hadeeth.
عُمَرَأَنَّ عُمَرَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْوَيَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ
I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, if one of us wants to sleep before doing ghusl when he is junub, what should he do? He said: ʿLet him do wudoo’ as for prayer, then sleep.”
