ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ دُعَاءِ الْمَرْءِ بِالْمَوْتِ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ
[Machine] "We came to Khabbab seeking his advice, and he was suffering from seven ulcers in his stomach. He said, 'If it weren't for the Prophet ﷺ prohibiting us from praying for death, I would have prayed for it. Then Khabbab mentioned the companions who had already passed away, saying that they did not benefit from their rewards at all. We, who continue to live, will only benefit from what we earn until we acquire something in this world that none of us knows how to deal with except to spend it in the path of Allah. Indeed, a Muslim will be rewarded for everything except what he spends on the ground.'"
