ذِكْرُ الْعِلَّةِ الَّتِي مِنْ أَجْلِهَا زُجِرَ عَنْ تَمَنِّي الْمَوْتِ، وَالدُّعَاءِ بِهِ
"None of you should wish for death. Either he is a doer of good, so perhaps he may do more good, or he is an evildoer but perhaps he will give up his evil ways." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1818)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِمَّا مُحْسِنًا فَلَعَلَّهُ يَزْدَادُ خَيْرًا وَإِمَّا مُسِيئًا فَلَعَلَّهُ يَسْتَعْتِبُ»
